CSIR will be celebrating its Foundation Day on 26th September, 2025. All our laboratories in the CSIR Campus, Chennai will be celebrating the day as Open Day with a view to enable High School and College Students, Teachers, Media, Professional Engineers, Industrial Personnel and the General Public to visit the laboratories. One can get, first-hand information of the nature of R&D facilities established, Scientific & Technological expertise built up, and current application-oriented research projects and technical programmes underway in these laboratories, serving the cause of public, strategic, private and social goods.

The International Mother Language Day has been celebrated with great enthusiasm at the CSIR-Structural Engineering Research Centre (CSIR-SERC) and CSIR Madras Complex (CMC) during 20-24 February 2025. Prof. Karu. Nagarajan, President, Tamil Academy, SRM University, Kattankulathur & Former Member-Secretary, Tamil Nadu State Council for Higher Education, Chennai, was the chief guest of the inauguration and Thiruvarur Nagaichuvai Navalar Pulavar R. Shanmugavadivel was the chief guest of the valedictory function.

Cleanliness drive undertaken by CSIR Madras Complex and CSIR- Structural Engineering Research Centre, Chennai at Thiruvanmyur Railway Station (MRTS) in connection with the Swachhata Hi Seva and Swachh Bharat Diwas 2024 Clean India Campaign.
