Quantity Surveyor
Currie & Brown is currently looking for a quantity surveyor for our Singapore office. The successful candidate will contribute to the provision of quantity surveying services to Currie & Brown's clients.
Responsibilities
Preparing cost budgets and appraisals
Preparing estimates and cost plans
Undertaking value engineering studies
Measuring drawings
Developing the financial aspect of feasibility studies
Assisting in tendering and procurement of contractors for projects
Drafting contract documents for projects for the review of seniors/associates
Monitoring project costs in line with the approved budget
Assisting in the pricing of variations and the financial aspects of the project change control process
Verifying applications for interim payments and preparing payment certificates
Producing cost reports and cost forecasting
Qualifications
Degree in quantity surveying or related discipline
A minimum of five years' technical delivery experience gained within a global construction consultancy, with exposure in interior fit-outs, ideally in hotel or mixed-use projects
Well-developed technical skills, for example preparing tender documents, estimates and cost plans, measurement from drawings, etc
Passionate about quantity surveying and furthering your career with a leading property consultancy
Excellent client-facing and communication skills
Ability to build long-term relationships
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Proficiency with measurement tools like CostX and CADMeasure desirable
