Hello hello!

We've got a super fun, high-energy jazz funk workshop coming this weekend!

The class is open to all kids! Kids, bring your friends and let's all dance together :D

We've got one more super exciting summer camp for you!

Tippy Toes is an interactive ballet workshop, where we'll be teaching kids the very basics of ballet movement, and take them through a storyline of princesses, fairies and wishing upon shooting stars in the sky. We've also got some fun arts and crafts planned!

Join us at Elemenopy on 17, 18 & 19 May 2018 (Thursday, Friday & Saturday) from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm. The workshop is open for all kids between the ages of 4 - 8 :)

Our students are so deeply supported and encouraged not only by us, but by our teacher and their parents as well. We are super lucky and super overwhelmed to have been able to witness tis over the past week 🌟

Our batch of ballerinas at Smasher Sports Academy just completed their second year review, evaluated and guided by our beautiful teacher Kokila Hariram. They also got to showcase their year of learning for their parents and received their certificates and report sheets marking their progress. The most fun part of the evening - the parents also got to dance a little ballet in class :D Though the dads tried to escape, we managed to rope everybody in for a demi curtsey!

Each of our students learns differently, so each of them gets a personalized progress report too. We observe their learning every month, and we have an informal review at the end of the year that goes over everything we covered in their syllabus that year! B-)

We had a super fun deep sea dance session at Peek-A-Boo Patterns' Children's Day Carnival! We were joined by almost 60 very talented and enthusiastic little sharks :D

This month, we taught the first two sessions as dance faculty for Krtya, Madras Dance Arts' Performing Arts Diploma!

As a part of the course, we are introducing ballet technique with the aim of developing a strong understanding of body alignment and movement. It isn't easy to learn the fundamentals of a classical form as an adult, but these students are extremely dedicated and we're really looking forward to being part of their progress over the next three months!

KRTYA is an internationally recognized Performing Arts Diploma being offered at Madras Dance Arts, Chennai, India - and we are absolutely thrilled to be on board as on faculty! This is a comprehensive program that covers all aspects of stage performance such as dance, music, acting, light theory, sound theory and production design. Alisha Ajit and Varsha Ramesh will be teaching the fundamentals of ballet technique - important knowledge for dancers of any genre :)
