India created history by winning their first ever ICC Women’s World Cup on November 2, 2025, defeating South Africa by 52 runs at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai powered by Shafali Verma’s explosive 87 and Deepti Sharma’s all round brilliance including a match-winning 5 for 39 . India posted 298/7 before bowling out South Africa for 246. This win on home soil marked a new era for Indian women’s cricket and the rise of a fearless generation.

Many fans were confused about the back foot no ball calls in the recent IPL match. Vignesh Puthur’s delivery was legal because the first part of his back foot landed inside the return crease even if the rest of the foot went over the line while in the air. In contrast, Mitchell Starc’s foot clearly touched the crease line making it a no-ball.
