We are immensely proud to announce that our U19 Girls Football Team secured the Runners-Up Trophy at the prestigious CBSE South Zone 1 Football Tournament 2026, held from 6th to 8th August 2026 at Sri Prakash Vidyaniketan English Medium School, Andhra Pradesh.

Our girls delivered an outstanding performance throughout the tournament, demonstrating exceptional skill, teamwork, discipline, determination, and fighting spirit against some of the strongest teams in the competition.

Quarter Final:
HIS, Omega 2–0 Agaram School, Tiruppur
Agaram School were the defending champions from last year.

Best Goalkeeper – Haarikha V Raj, Grade XII

Her exceptional performances between the posts earned her the prestigious Best Goalkeeper Award for the entire tournament.

The championship prizes were presented by Smt. Purandeshwari, Member of Parliament and daughter of Late Shri N. T. Rama Rao, former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.

INDUSTRIAL VISIT TO Grand Chennai by GRT Hotels

Learning Beyond the Classroom
The Grade 11 & 12 Home Science students of NIOS had an enriching industry visit to GRT Grand Hotel, Chennai on the 13th of August, gaining valuable insights into the dynamic world of hospitality management.

The visit offered students an opportunity to explore the various departments of the hotel, understand their roles and responsibilities, and observe the coordination required for smooth and efficient operations.

From behind-the-scenes processes to professional hospitality practices, the experience helped students connect their classroom learning with the real-world industry.

A day filled with exploration, learning and inspiration, reminding our students that every memorable hospitality experience is built on teamwork, skill, dedication and attention to detail. 🌟 We sincerely thank the GRT Grand Hotel team for welcoming our students and providing them with this valuable opportunity to learn, explore and gain first-hand industry exposure.
