The DoHSS Annual International Conference is back!

Conference Location: Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, IIT Madras on 12–14 February 2026.
We invite scholars, researchers, and students to submit original research papers for our international academic conference.

The much-anticipated closing ceremony was a moment of celebration, reflection, and gratitude, marking the successful conclusion of an inspiring and intellectually enriching conference. During the ceremony, the winners were announced:
Krishna Priya Kannan was recognized for Decoding Ethical Implications of AI in Beauty Apps: Balancing Self-Esteem, Privacy, and Inclusivity.
Srijani Roy Chowdhury, Lavanya Singhania, and Arpit Sarda won for their work on Microplastic Pollution: Impact on India’s Blue Economy and Mitigation Strategies.

Day 3 of the conference concluded on a high note with a thought-provoking keynote by Prof. Bishwapriya Sanyal, setting the stage for an insightful final day. The sessions were filled with engaging discussions, fostering meaningful exchanges among participants.

Day 2 of the conference began with an insightful keynote by Scott Lash, sparking engaging discussions right from the start. The sessions were dynamic, with thought-provoking exchanges and active participation throughout. In the second half, Pat Caplan delivered a compelling plenary, fostering deep conversations and interactive dialogue. The energy in the room was electric, making it a truly engaging and immersive day!

Day 1 of the conference kicked off with an inspiring keynote by Nishant Choksi, setting the tone for the day. The morning featured four engaging panel discussions, each sparking lively debates and fresh perspectives. In the second half, Katherine Low delivered a compelling plenary, drawing deep insights and energizing the audience. With active participation and thought-provoking exchanges, the day was a fantastic start to the event!
