Examining equality through activity and art All people on our planet are supposed to be equal, right? We all have equal rights, duties and responsibilities.

We all have to follow the same rules in school. And we all have to study and pass the same exams. But do we really feel equal to other people? All the time? Ever wondered whether all of us have access to the same opportunities? Or whether we are expected to excel at the same things? Are we all supposed to behave in the same way? In what ways are we different, and in what ways are we just the same

We held a session on Building Healthy Relationships Within the Family in .in in November
The session began with a review of our previous session.
Our conversations then progressed into themes like understanding how early conditioning and biases affect our relationship with ourselves and our children and the structures that keep these harmful habits intact.
We also discussed how to build healthy relationships through connection and inclusion, by focussing on pattern recognition, emotional regulation,
compassion and curiosity, communication, drawing boundaries, etc.

The room had a lot of positive energy at all points and it was an absolute joy to facilitate and understand what the context in the lives of the parents looks like for
Smiles and smiles only! Makes all of us want to smile tooo :)

"Will this apply to every context? Isn't this very subjective?", asked one participant. We smiled as we loved answering this question!

Schools of Equality went to Kolkata in August and it was such a wholesome experience! We did workshops on 3 days and got to engage with 3 groups of curious people. It was absolutely exhilarating. Justice, identity and classrooms were at the core of the workshops we led.

We had interesting conversations, got asked extremely well-thought out questions. We also heard amazing scholars speak their minds.
had it all sorted for us and we throughly enjoyed out experience in Kolkata, thanks to them.
They included Bengali food as part of the experience too!
