We are delighted to invite you to the much-anticipated Year-End DBPPA Dinner and Mentors Night, which will be held on 21st December 2024 at the Presidency Club, Egmore.

Please refer to the attached poster for further details and event registration information. Entry is free for our dear Teachers and Fathers.

This will be a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with many of our past teachers, fathers, and fellow alumni. As in previous years, we are excited to offer a night filled with nostalgia and great conversations. Join us in reliving the memories of your school days with batchmates, beloved teachers, and fathers.

We expect a great turnout, with many of our dear past teachers in attendance.

DBPPA-DB86-Calve Dinesh Pedal Punch 2024 - 24th November 2024
(A sporting event sponsored by the Batch of 1986 in memory of the late Calve Dinesh (1986 Batch), Past President of DBPPA Egmore (2001-2003))

At 5:00 am, participants began to arrive. By 5:45 am, the venue was buzzing with excitement, filled with participants and sponsors from the Class of 1986.

Shadaan, Secretary of the DBPPA (Batch of 1995), warmly welcomed the gathering. Iron Man - Kiran Balram, from the 1986 batch, briefed the participants on the cycling route and provided essential road safety instructions. Father Arul Anand, Administrator, offered a prayer and officially flagged off the event.

The cyclists embarked on a 22 km route, taking a water and photo break at RBI. Special thanks to Juggy and Prasad for providing refreshments at the break point.

Upon returning to the school, participants were presented with certificates and medals by Past Presidents Ashok Chelliah (1968), Jagadish Kota (1986) and senior past pupil Janardhan Rao (1975). The morning concluded with a delicious hot breakfast from Mathsya, enjoyed by all.

It was another wonderful day of DB Boys coming together and enjoying a great time at DB, Egmore. Thanks to Prasad (1980) and Antony (2000) for capturing these wonderful moments with their photos, which we will cherish.

We would like to express our gratitude to the school for providing the facilities, and special thanks to the event organizers: Reji Joseph (1986) and Dr. Naveen Alexander (1997).

A heartfelt thanks to the volunteers: Rose Kumar (1985), also the Province Secretary of DBPPA, Deepu Pillai (2000), Fayaz Ali (2001), School Marker Rejin, and the school staff who assisted during the event.

The DBPPA extends its gratitude to Reji Joseph (1986), Gurdeep (Bunty-1986), and Mrs. Calve Dinesh for generously sponsoring the event.

Calve Dinesh, a mechanical engineer, restaurateur, real estate entrepreneur, and investor, left an indelible mark on our community. He founded Chilli Club, one of Chennai's early Thai restaurants located in Kilpauk. As a long-serving Executive Committee member of DBPPA Egmore, his dedication and passion resonated deeply within our community.
