The IAEMP Student Chapter, VIT Chennai, conducted a two-day Energy Ambassador Program (EAP) which was handled by renowned industry experts who gave us a thorough insight of how companies deal with energy management within their offices. The first speaker was Mr. R. Purushothaman, Assistant Executive Engineer who is a part of the Energy Conservation Cell, Demand Side Management, Climate Change Cell and Clean Development mechanism. Next speaker was Dr.N.C.Lenin, Associate Professor, School of Electrical Engineering, VIT,Chennai. We were also enlightened to have Mr. Sridhar Shenoy, General Manager, Energy Sustainability Services, Schneider-Electric & Energy Manager followed by Mr. P. Prem kumar, Energy Auditor, Mr. Shaikh Shamser Ali, Central Council Member, IAEMP. These experts gave the students a lucid outline about the crucial features of energy management, added light to why the world needs to opt for clean and reliable energy sources and educated the students on energy auditing. Whether one was considering a career in sustainability or looking to make a big impact on saving environment, the Energy Ambassador Program had been the perfect platform for the same. We thank everyone who contributed to making our event a great success!

Hi all,
IAEMP VITCC yet again comes up with another interesting event 'INSIGHT-A-THON'.
An event which will be the first of its kind to be conducted in VIT Chennai and provides many oppurtunities to the budding engineers. It will be held on 17th and 23rd January's, 2019.
Details for the events are given below: -
- Teams of 3
- Rs. 600/Team
- Each team will be given a tenure of 1 week for presenting the fully working prototype as a result of the given problem statement
- On the first day of the event i.e., 17th January, 2019, the participants are expected to provide the coordinator with a basic approach to the given problem statement for which they will be given 2 Hours.
- On the final day i.e., 23rd January, 2019, the day of the presentation, the judges will evaluate the teams on the basis of the approach, implementation and presentation.
- For registering, the students must fill this form and pay the money only through G-Pay to the number 9884264711 with Name, Registration number, IAEMP EVENT in the details.
- Only when the payment is verified with the form entry, the registration will be considered valid.

We conducted a 12 hour Ideathon on Energy Saving and Management on 14th-15th December 2018. The winners of the event were Arun Kumar and Jeyanth Siddharth, the runner up was bagged by Rohan Kumar and Devam Gupta. We are extremely delighted for having Dr. Apel from Deakin University, Australia as one of judges in the event. Special thanks to Binu Ben Jose Sir, Balamurugan Sir, Angaleshwari mam and the entire IAEMP team for making the event a great success. Here are a few moments captured from the event !

This is an event where students will get a chance to create a startup idea of your own and pitch it in front of judges and win exciting prizes.
Participants should be in groups of 2-3 members and registration fees is Rs. 200/- per person.
