Farming/Gardening 🌱🌱

Gardening with kids is a powerful learning experience. They get to plant, water and watch things grow into something edible, delicious and nutritious 🍅🥕🌶🍆

At Aathichudi, Rajakilpakkam, we introduced gardening/farming to kids on our farming day,
With kids friendly gardening tools, children prepared the soil, planted seeds, and watered them. 🌱💦🎋🌿🌴

At our center, we aim to connect children to the outdoors by meaningful gardening work.🌳

WINTER PRACTICAL LIFE , Rajakilpakkam

Montessori Practical Life lessons purpose is – Prepare / teach children practical skills that they can use in their daily lives

We had a special day on winter clothing (Sweater/Socks/Gloves is a great practical life activity with children great involvement.

Children started learning how to put on socks and gloves independently.

Aathichudi, Rajakilpakkam Market Day (சந்தை) - A fun, educational and motivational activity!

The kids learned about various vegetable names, colors and shapes...
At the same time the market day activity introduces the social practices of life, and encourage the entrepreneurship in the young kids.

Gross Motor Skill Development @ Aathichudi, Rajakilpakkam
*Paandi (பாண்டி)*

Gross motor skill develops in a head-to-toe order. The children will typically learn head control, trunk stability, and then standing up, walking and jumping.

The aim of paandi is to capture maximum number of squares in the grid by hopping and jumping through the court in a specific pattern. This involves balancing, movement and coordination of the arms, legs, and other body parts. It also develops muscle strength of young kids.

Our little stars are celebrated Star Shape Day on Monday, 4th Nov2019. The class was per-decorated with stars and cut outs of star shape objects. Teacher introduced the Star shape with the help of the story slides and also showed them related objects.

It was Dancing on the action song "star star" was another fun-filled activity of the day.

Purple Day - ஊதா நிறம் கற்ப்போம் @ Aathichudi, Rajakilpakkam

🍇 Purple is the colour most often associated with royalty, magic, mystery and piety.

🍇 The cause of celebrating this day is to make the children aware of the colour Purple

🍇 The day began with fun filled introduction concerning the colour Purple. The desk and pinboard is decorated with purple objects.

🍇 It develops the fine motor skills and visual Intelligence of the children.
