An Instagram account named Archita Phukan, also known as Babydoll Archi, began attracting attention online. The profile, portraying an Assamese woman, showcased images and reels featuring her in provocative attire.

The account gained viral popularity following a saree transformation reel set to the Romanian track Dame Un Grrr. By mid-July 2025, her follower count had reached 1.3 million.

Things escalated when Babydoll Archi shared a picture alongside American adult film actress Kendra Lust, causing widespread speculation that she was entering the p**n industry. Social media pages on Facebook and Instagram quickly circulated memes and posts claiming “an Assamese girl is joining the U.S. adult entertainment industry.” The story spread rapidly, especially in Assam.

However, the truth behind the account was both shocking and disturbing. A young man filed a police complaint in Dibrugarh, stating that his sister’s ex-boyfriend, Pratim Bora—a mechanical engineer from Tinsukia—had misused her photos. He allegedly downloaded private images from her social media accounts and used artificial intelligence tools to fabricate the persona of Babydoll Archi. The deepfakes included manipulated travel videos, AI-generated pictures, and the viral image with Kendra Lust—all created without the woman’s consent or awareness. She only learned about the account after it gained massive attention.

Essentially, an embittered former partner used AI to turn his ex-girlfriend into a fake online personality known for adult content, even setting up a paid subscription platform using her face on altered or computer-generated images.

Police arrested Pratim Bora recently. Dibrugarh SP Sizal Agarwal stated that Bora’s actions were driven by a desire to defame and mentally harm the victim post-breakup.

This disturbing incident highlights the urgent need to address ethical concerns around artificial intelligence, digital privacy, and online trust. Until stronger safeguards are in place, individuals should exercise caution and limit sharing personal content publicly.

Cyber blackout, caused by a cybersecurity solution called Crowdstrike. The problem occurred in EDR Agents for the Windows version, causing BSODs on all workstations and servers.

Mitigation:

1. Start Windows in safe mode.

2. Navigate to the directory C: \Windows\System32\drivers\CrowdStrike.

3. Locate the file C-00000291*.sys and delete it.

4. Restart the computer normally.
