Rains like this were never witnessed
Rains like these have never even been imagined

This time Rains in Chennai were simply unprecedented
This time Rains came with a capital R and POURED and poured

While I wonder whether it is right to call them as showers
I still ponder it may not be wrong to call them as water bursts

Chennai's roads are definitely flooded
but what is also equally flooded are
everyone's WhatsApp and pages with loads of photos, memes, videos and all sorts

God bless Chennai,
Give us a break

Schools have been closed since November 6th
University's have continuously postponed their exams
IT offices work from homes
most of us are at the comfort of our homes

Chennai Corporation's conservancy workers are working overtime even in this ghostly Rain
They are clearing the drains on the roads from getting blocked even in this merciless Rain

I salute their spirits and their work!

Many say freedom is in your hand
Many say freedom is in your partner's hand
I know it can't be in your hand - as you may lose it sometimes
I know it can't be with your partner - as you may go bonkers many times
I don't believe them
As I have a mind of my own
My mind is not just my factory

It is the mine given to me
I have the freedom to be - what I am
I have the freedom to become - what my mind asks
I have the freedom to ask - what I need
I have the freedom to receive - what I ask
