ஒரு பெண்ணின் கையால் தான் இறக்க வேண்டும் என்ற வரத்தை வாங்கினான் மகிஷாசுரன். ஏனெனில் ஒரு பெண்ணால் தன்னை கொல்ல முடியாது என்ற ஆணவத்தில் இருந்தான். அதையடுத்து தான் சாகா வரம் பெற்ற எண்ணத்தில் இருந்த மகிஷாசுரன் விண்ணவர்களையும், மண்ணவர்களையும் கொடுமைப்படுத்தி வந்த மகிஷாசுரன் தான் இந்த லோகத்தின் கடவுள் என அனைவரையும் ஆட்டிப்படைத்தான்.
அவனின் அட்டூழியத்தை ஒடுக்கி அனைவரையும் காக்க மூன்று தேவிகளும் சேர்ந்து துர்க்கை அம்மனாக விரதமிருந்து, 8 நாட்கள் கடும் போர் செய்து, 9வது நாளில் மகிஷனை கொன்றார் அன்னை.
முதல் மூன்று நாள் பார்வதி தேவியின் அலங்காரமும், அடுத்த மூன்று நாள் மகாலட்சுமி தேவியின் அலங்காரமும், கடைசி மூன்று நாள் சரஸ்வதி தேவியின் அம்சமாக வணங்கப்படுகிறது.
மகிஷனைக் கொல்ல ஆயுதங்களை பூஜித்த நாள் தான் நாம் ஆயுத பூஜையாகவும், சரஸ்வதி பூஜையாக ஒவ்வொரு வருடமும் கொண்டாடி வருகின்றோம்.
மகிஷனை அன்னை கொல்ல ஆயுதங்களைப் பூஜித்ததைப் போல, நாமும், நம் அன்றாட பணிகளுக்கு பயன்படுத்தும் உபகரணங்களை வணங்கும் பொருட்டு விமர்சையாக கொண்டாடி வருகிறோம்.

Krishna Janmashtami marks the birth of Lord Krishna who is considered the eighth avatar of Lord Vishnu, he is the preserver among the Trinity. Krishna Janmashtami is a Hindu festival which celebrates Lord Krishna's birth and is also called Gokul Ashtami. All across the country today, devotees are celebrating Krishna Janmashtami with fervour and enthusiasm. Several leaders including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, President Ram Nath Kovind and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi greeted people on the occassion of Janmashtami.
Born in a dungeon in present-day Mathura in Uttar Pradesh at midnight to Queen Devaki and King Vasudeva, Krishna is described in Hindu epics as the god of love, tenderness and compassion. He is also praised as a prankster who often used his supreme powers to help others, stunning his friends and family.

Every year, this festival falls on the eighth day (Ashtami) of Krishna Paksha (dark fortnight) in Shraavana or Bhadrapad, as per the Hindu lunisolar calendar. This year, Janmashtami falls on August 30, 2021. Some people will also be celebrating it on August 31, 2021.

• MKCL Services- the Maharashtra Knowledge Corporation Limited (MKCL) through online mode will offer various vocational and technical courses.
• NIELIT Services- Online Registration/ Fee Collection, Online Examination Form submission and printing of examination.
• NIOS Services- Open Schooling in Rural Areas, Registration of Students, Payment of Examination Fees, and Declaration of Results will be encouraged through the NIOS service.

• Pension- National Pension System in Rural and Semi-Urban Areas are promoted through the opening of Tier 1 and Tier 2 Accounts, Deposit Contribution, etc.
6. Other Services
Under this, the following services are covered:
• Agriculture- After the Farmer registration is done, they will receive expert advice on Weather Information, Soil Information.
• Recruitment- Notification for Recruitment in Indian Navy, Indian Army, and Indian Air Force is shared with the citizens in order to give them an opportunity to join the armed forces.
• Income Tax Filing- Income Tax Returns can also be filed through CSC. VLE Manual is available in both language English and Hindi.

Pongal is one of the significant festivals of India that is celebrated with a lot of zeal andd zest across the country, especially in Tamil Nadu. This festival is also known as the harvest festival of Tamil Nadu. This festival is celebrated over four days.

The third day of Pongal is celebrated as Mattu Pongal. Mattu means bull in Tamil and the third day of Pongal is dedicated to cattle, particularly bulls, as they play a huge role in farming. In Tamil Nadu, a special game, known as 'Jallikattu or Manji Virattu' is played on the evening of Mattu Pongal. Some legends also say that Mattu Pongal is linked to Nandi, who was sent on Earth by Lord Shiva on this day to spread his message.
