f spirited response of poverty misery and ignorance fear due to the Tsumani Disaster, The Youth were left with no hope for the future. They were counseled by the members of our Society, and were motivated and were given Career Guidance. The surrounding slums are in the grip of poverty, child labour and illegal activities. The families living here face problem in every day life with Alcohol and drugs. By the help of Hopers Trust the youths were treated and they are living a normal life. By the help of Church Park Tamil Medium the needy students were admitted in school to continue there studies. Youths who have failed the Xth and +2 and could not study further were sent to Nirmala Community College. They were trained and placed in Jobs. Awareness Programs were conducted in Nirmala Community College by the Society with the support of Hopers and CAPAC. The Youths are given Training in Basic computers, DTP, Spoken English Tally, and Multi Media in a very less fees and are place in Jobs so far we have placed 700 youths in Jobs. This Year we have started a Tuition Centre for students of Xth and +2
Counseling Centre is functioning in our Society to help the families and Youth who are facing various problems. I am Gerald Rodrigues the President of this Society which started in the year 2004 and running successfully till day, many youth’s lives have been enlightened and they have been placed in jobs. We have adopted the near by slum at Ekambaram Pillai street back of Citi Centre. Children from this area have been taken care by our Society by giving them financial help for studies and training them in Computers and placement of Jobs.
