🇮🇳 80th Independence Day Celebration – The Clarke School 🇮🇳

The Clarke School for Children with Special Needs proudly celebrated the 80th Independence Day of India on 15th August 2026 with great patriotism, unity and inclusion. ❤️🇮🇳

The celebration featured Flag Hoisting, Yoga for Unity & Well-being, inspiring speeches, cultural performances, dance presentations, prize distribution and the honoring of our talented special children.

We were also honoured to celebrate with our distinguished guest Dr. Arun Janarthanan (IIT Madras), whose constant support, guidance and encouragement continue to inspire and empower our children.

A special highlight was our students’ Sign Language National Anthem Performance at InterContinental Chennai Mahabalipuram Resort, proudly showcasing that patriotism and inclusion have no barriers. 🤟🇮🇳

🌍📸 World Photography Day at The Clarke School for the Deaf

On the occasion of World Photography Day, The Clarke School for the Deaf, Mylapore, successfully conducted a Photography Workshop on 19 August 2026.

We were honored to have Mrs. Priya Banik, an experienced Photography Educator and Mentor with over two decades of expertise, who inspired our students to explore the art of photography. Through this engaging session, our students learned to observe the world from unique perspectives, express their creativity, and capture meaningful moments with confidence.

At The Clarke School, we believe every child has a unique talent waiting to shine. Activities like these help our students develop creativity, communication, and self-expression.

The 13th Tamil Nadu Deaf Open Chess Tournament was conducted by the Tamil Nadu Chess Association of the Deaf on 8th & 9th August 2026.
