A page that caters to your thirst for physics concepts A pretty experiment is in itself often more valuable than twenty formulae extracted from our minds.".

"In the matter of physics, the first lessons should contain nothing but what is experimental and interesting to see. Ever wondered how relativity and quantum physics could lend Father Christmas a helping hand?or what happens when you attempt to make ice cream with Liquid Nitrogen? FUN WITH PHYSICS unravels the mystery in the happenings of the world with many experiments to make you wander, ponder and wonder!

Strange but true !!

FLIP-FLOPPING POLES

About every 300,000 years, Earth’s magnetic poles reverse themselves; that is, the north and south poles trade places. This is known as popular polar reversal and has probably happened ever since Earth was formed.

How can scientists possibly know this?

The clue lies in magnetic stripped patterns of iron ore found in certain rocks. The magnetic particles in molten rock, such as in the lava flow at right, align themselves with Earth’s magnetic poles. When the rock hardens, a permanent record of Earth’s magnetism stays in the rocks. Although these magnetic stripes can’t be seen, geologists can use special instruments in order to read them.

CERN’s Large Hadron Collider is for now the most spectacular and important technological marvel modern science has created.

The large construction 17 miles in circumference will surely make the coming two decades the most exciting for modern physicists.

It's truly amazing creation that could answer the questions about the creation and existence of this universe itself!
