Today, we are going to look into another simple vocabulary of body parts in Japanese.

The meaning of each words are:-
1. Atama- Head
2. Me - Eye
3. Mimi - Ears
4. Kuchi - Mouth
5. Kata - Shoulder
6. Mune - Chest
7. Hara - Stomach
8. Ashi - Leg
9. Hiza - Knees
10. Yubi - Fingers
11. Te - Hand
12. Hiji - Elbow
13. Ude - Arm
14. Kubi - Neck
15. Hana - Nose
16. Mayu - Eyebrow
17. Kami - Hair

Today, We are going to learn about Nature in Japanese.

しぜん(shizen) means Nature.

たいよう(taiyou) means Sun.

うみ(umi) means Sea.

These are very simple 2 or 3 letter japanese words which can be easily remembered.

Today, We are going to see numbers in Japanese.

Like, We have different sayings in Indian languages, In Japanese also, differ in each numbers.

ichi means 1, ni means 2, san means 3, yon/shi means 4, go means 5, roku means 6, nana/shichi means 7, hatchi means 8, kyuu/ku means 9 and jyu means 10.

We can also read bigger numbers by combining the words, as shown in the picture.

In another picture, these are readings for 10,100,1000,10000,100000 and 1000000.

Today, We are going to learn about colors.

いろ (iro) means color.

There so many hiragana words for each and every colors.

Example is あかい means red.
あおい means blue.

But In some cases, There is no specific words for some colors. In that case, we use same name but we write it in Katakana.

Example is オレンジ means orange.
ピンク means pink.

にじ means Rainbow in Japanese.

Next, We are going to see Seasons in Japanese Language.
The word "きせつ" means Seasons. The Kanji for Season is 季節.

There are 4 seasons in Japan,
Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter.

はる means Spring
なつ means Summer
あき means Autumn
ふゆ means Winter

There is a tip which gives mnemonics on how to remember each word.

I have also attached another post that gives explanation about 季節 in kanji.

I will post separately explaining seasons in Kanji in future.

Hiragana uses 2 diacritical marks. The first one is "Dakuon" or "ten-ten" which looks like " , two diagonal strokes added on top right corner of a character.
If we put " " this, then
ka changes to ga, sa to za, ta to da and ha to ba.

The second diacritical mark is maru, which looks like this "。”, a circle which is placed on top right corner of a character.
If we put "。“, then ha changes to pa.

I have already said in my previous post, that I will share mnemonics for each Hiragana letter.

Mnemonics means remembering something which is associated with each other.

Not only Hiragana, difficult kanji characters is also memorized using mnemonics only.

The last two rows in Hiragana are "ra" row and "wa" row.

The letters are:-
"ra", "ri", "ru", "re" and "ro"

"wa", "wo" and "n"

Some letters are not in use such as "wi" and "wu" and "we".

In next post, I will share mnemonics for each letter in hiragana.

As I was busy in preparing for JLPT exam, I am unable to post consistently.

So, I am introducing 2 rows
"ma" row and "ya" row.

The letters are,
"ma", "mi", "mu", "me" and "mo".
"ya", "yu" and "yo"

The letters "yi" and "ye" are not in use.

Keep on practicing until you get perfect.

Next is ha row. Since I am busy with exam preparation, I will make sure to post at least once in a week.

The letters are :-
"ha", "hi", "fu", "he", "ho".

Here there is no "hu" letter, Instead, we have "fu".

In this row alone, there are 2 variations available.

We will see this later after finishing all letters.
