Asan Memorial College of Arts and Science - The Management, Principal ,Staff and Students cordially invites for Silver Jubilee Celebrations on 23rd,24th & 25th January 2020

Rotary District 3232 organizes a Mega Blood Donation Drive on 29th August 2019 at 50 locations in Chennai. Rotaract Club of Asan also joins to donate blood for the needy children at Children Hospital, Egmore. The Blood Donation Drive begins at 9:30a.m. at Asan Memorial College of Arts & Science under the supervision of Rtn. Muralikrishnan with 14 members team from the hospital, headed by Dr.Mythili and Dr.Thiraviyam. The Principal and Member Syndicate, Dr.S.Ramanathan, Vice Principal Mr. V.Ravichandran, Director of AsanInstitute of Management,Dr.T.S.Santhi, Shift-II Coordinator Dr.T.Aryamala and Rotaract Faculty Coordinators Dr.P.Padmavathy,Dr.P.Seethalaxmiand Mrs. Jhancy Joseph organized the blood donors and other arrangements for the drive. More than 60 volunteers actively involved in various arrangements and in helping the donors and doctors. Around 250 students involved in this noble cause and donated blood, had refreshments and received their certificates.

The 21st Graduation Day of Asan Memorial College of Arts and Science, Chennai, was held on 3 August 2019, Saturday. Thiru. Mangat Ram Sharma, I.A.S, Principal Secretary to Government, Higher Education Department, Government of Tamil Nadu was the Chief Guest. Dr. S. Ramanathan, Principal, Member Syndicate, University of Madras welcomed the gathering. Thiru. Mangat Ram Sharma in his Graduation Day Address congratulated the degree holders and stressed on the challenges facing the graduates in finding employment opportunities that matched their degree and skill sets. He also insisted on the possibilities of autonomy for colleges that would improve the syllabus and make the students industry–ready. Around 340 students received their degrees and University Rank Holders were felicitated. The event was a grand success.

Swachh Bharat 2.0 - Mime show , Saplings planted and wall painting at Medavakkam Government higher secondary school

Healthy and clean surrounding helps in the development of mankind, society and a better tomorrow. In this way The NSS unit, Swachh Bharat 2.0 of Asan Memorial College of Arts and Science, Pallikaranai,organised a camp to create awareness on several social issues including the usage of plastics and the importance of rain water harvesting among the people of Pallikaranai and Medavakkam for the past one month. NSS volunteers actively participated in cleaning the the rubbish around panchayat union office, primary health care centre, Government higher secondary school, Medavakkam and Lakshmi Narayana Temple, Pallikaranai. Valedictory function is to be held at Government Higher Secondary School, Medavakkam on 22.07.2019. To create awareness among the school students, NSS volunteers stage a mime show on the necessity of Swachh Bharat and Rain Water Harvesting. Saplings were planted and the wall were painted insisting the importance of Rain Water Harvesting. The camp is headed by Dr. S. Ramanathan, Principal, Asan memorial College of Arts and Science, member - syndicate, University of Madras. The camp is organized by the NSS program officer Dr.P.Ramesh Kumar.

As a part of the camp, Government Higher Secondary School, Medavakkam was cleaned and the compound wall was painted on 15.07.2019 by NSS volunteers, Asan Memorial college of Arts and Science. The camp is headed by Dr. S. Ramanathan, Principal, Asan memorial College of Arts and Science, member - syndicate, University of Madras.The program is organized by the NSS Programme officer Dr. P. Ramesh Kumar.
