We've pretty much made it a September to remember. The students have been working diligently on building their superpowers. It's pleasing to see this intrinsic motivation where it concerns acquiring skills at the piano in both young students and adults.
As for myself, I'm happy for small mercies too. I received a partial scholarship for the Keyboard Games Course modeled on Music Learning Theory, GIML, USA. It has opened new channels in my pedagogy.

So pleased and proud to announce that one of our advanced students' arrangements of Indian tunes have made it into the new Trinity Piano Syllabus. Congratulations Ravina Misri! She will be invited to London to speak about her personal musical journey.

For young students who get thrown off by the teacher's accompaniment: They must be encouraged to listen to and process both their solos and the teacher's accompaniment. Here I try to have him listen to the accompaniment as well as conduct to it.
