Don Bosco Vazhikaatti – Job Fair 2015 conducted for the first time at Don Bosco Youth Animation Centre, Ennore on 9th Oct. 2015. More than 850 candidates from Ennore, Perambur, Basin Bridge, Broadway, Manali, Minjur and Ponneri area participated in the job fair. The Job Fair started off with inaugural function at 10 AM in the DBYAC Hall. All the candidates who registered for the job fair were assembled in the Hall
The programme started with prayer and lighting of Kuthuvilaku by the dignitaries. Fr. Joseph Leo, the Director of Don Bosco Vazhikaatti welcomed all the dignitaries and honour them. Fr. Jeyaraj Joseph, the Rector & Director of Don Bosco Youth Animation Centre, Ennore was the Chief Guest for the programme and declare opened the job fair. While addressing the gathering he insisted on 4 important ‘C’s Competency, Compassion, Consistency and Commitment which are very essential qualities for youth to get employment. Then, Mr. Thirumurugan, HR, Tech Mahindra - BPO was the Guest Honour for the Inaugural function and in his special speech he highlighted on soft and employable skills which are more required for youth in present scenario to get employment. Fr. Paulraj, the parish priest of Ennore, Fr. Paulraj, the administrator of DBYAC, Fr. Edward, the parish priest of Basin Bridge and Mrs. Ezhilarasi Armugam MC – Ennore were the special invitees and distributed interview cards for the candidates who registered for the job fair. The inaugural function ended with vote thanks by Fr. Andrews Stephenraj, the Asst. Director, Don Bosco Vazhikaatti.
At 10.30 AM the interview process was started by allowing the candidates according to their serial numbers and interview process went on up to 2 pm. Twenty five well – know companies in and around Chennai city participated in the Job Fair. Nearly 323 candidates were selected by these companies for next level interview and for employment. All these selected candidates were registered their names at Placed candidates Counter.
