ABOUT THE VIDYALAYA Kendriya Vidyalaya, Air Force Station, Avadi was established in the Defence Sector on 15th June 1964 in the campus of the Air Force Station.

It is situated in the Air Force Station area at Avadi, one of the suburbs of Chennai. It is one of the oldest Kendriya Vidyalayas, and also one of the biggest with an enrolment of 2000 students in Classes I to XII.
