RMK Premier League
The RMK Premier League (RPL) was successfully conducted in the school on 16th and 17th April, creating an atmosphere of excitement and healthy competition across the campus. The tournament was formally declared open by the Principal, Smt. Sapna Sankhla, who motivated the players to uphold the spirit of sportsmanship and teamwork. Four teams participated in the league—RMK Super Kings from RMK Patashaala, RMK Knights from RMK Thiruverkadu, RMK Regents from RMK Matriculation, and RMK Challengers from RMK Residential School. Each team displayed exceptional talent, determination, and coordination, making the matches thrilling and closely contested. The event saw enthusiastic support from both students and teachers, adding to the vibrant energy of the tournament. The matches were conducted in a well-organized manner, ensuring fairness and discipline throughout. The tournament concluded with an exciting final match followed by a prize distribution ceremony, where the winners and standout performers were honoured. The RPL truly served as a platform to nurture sportsmanship, leadership, and unity among students across the RMK institutions. The winner of the RPL Trophy was RMK Super Kings who had defeated RMK Knights in the final match.

Women’s Day and STEM Day Celebration

RMK Residential Senior Secondary School celebrated Women’s Day and STEM Day with great enthusiasm on April 11, 2026, at 10 a.m. The event aimed to honour women achievers while promoting interest in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics among students.

The programme was graced by distinguished Guests of Honour. Dr. Vetriselvi Rangannan, Project Scientist III, PDBI Project, Molecular Biophysics Unit, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, shared valuable insights into scientific research and encouraged students to pursue careers in STEM fields. Dr. Parimala Devi G, MBBS, MS, DLO, Assistant Professor, Department of ENT, Madras Medical College and Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital, Chennai, inspired students with her journey in the medical profession and highlighted the importance of dedication and perseverance.

The event was presided over by Shri Yalamanchi Pradeep, Secretary, RMK Group of Institutions, whose presence added significance to the celebration. Tmt. Sapna Sankhla, Principal of RMK Residential Senior Secondary School, welcomed the gathering and emphasized the importance of empowering young minds, especially girls, to explore opportunities in STEM.

The celebration successfully blended recognition of women’s achievements with scientific awareness, motivating students to dream big and strive for excellence in their chosen fields.
