We might have all seen chain reaction machines in cartoons where a simple task like opening a door or bursting a balloon is accomplished through a complex array of tasks. When I gave this activity of building a chain reaction machine to my students, I thought it was a terrible idea as there was so much of chaos in the classroom. But my little champs proved me wrong and here you can see them building and testing some prototype of chain reaction machines. Often the most beautiful things come out of chaos and my job is to create and facilitate an environment to bring the best out of them

A memorable field trip with 142 little champs to Dakshinachitra and Madras Crocodile Bank.

Our students were excited to participate in the hands-on-activities on traditional art forms like pot making and pot painting organized by Dakshinachitra.

Our students also participated with extreme enthusiasm in a education program organized by Madras Crocodile bank and Irula Snake society.

Thanks to Madras Crocodile Bank Trust/Centre for Herpetology DakshinaChitra for their wonderful education programs.

City as Lab is a nation wide Science research event organized by Renaissance education for school students from grade 6 to grade 10. The City as Lab event seeks to inculcate scientific and research mindset in students and develop young scientists.

Our students have conducted spectacular research work on Judicious consumption of electricity and submitted a research paper to the CAL team under the guidance of TFI Volunteer Mathuram. From across 100 plus teams in India, our team is one of the 6 teams to be selected for presenting their research project at City as Lab National conference in Mumbai.

Through this journey, our students have developed a scientific mindset and learnt about various data collection and analysis techniques. Our students were inspired by other projects in the conference and they are looking forward to come up with innovative and sustainable solutions for their community problems in the next year as well.

Our students conducted a workshop on Rocket science at IITM as part of kids education revolution summit. They demonstrated rocket principle through match stick rockets, water bottle rockets, spirit rockets and balloon rockets. They also demonstrated the burning of various rocket propellants.

The workshop was filled with joy, amusement and scientific curiosity.

It was a proud moment to see them engrossed in explaining their model rockets to the participants.

We envision an education system where learning is filled with joy, fun and amusement :)
