From a staid cerebral Q&A routine, quizzing has over the years undergone a sea change in terms of content and entertainment quotient. ‘X Quiz It’ plans to take quizzing to another level by broad basing the participation and giving it a more youthful spin. The contents research team at ‘X Quiz It’ comprises experienced quizzers who have done programmes at ICWAI, ICSI. Consultancy Development Centre, Rajalakshmi Engineering College, M.O.P Vaishnav College , Sathyabama University and other colleges in Tamilnadu. The ‘X Quiz It’ team has the expertise to develop events tailor-made for the target participants and audience. Essentially, quizzing is going to become a lot more fun without sacrificing the knowledge quotient. The love, passion and enthusiasm for quizzing motivated and inspired us to form our own Quizzing Firm- X QUIZ IT inculcating the passion for professional quizzing and staging of knowledge based events for the various academic institutions in India, especially South India.

We are delighted to share the successful conclusion of The Commentary Box — a truly unique workshop on communication skills, organised by CaratLane - A TATA Product and Timelinks in collaboration with X Quiz It.

Designed for college students and young professionals entering the workforce, the programme used cricket commentary as an engaging medium to build essential communication skills. Across sessions held on 21 and 22 May, participants explored voice modulation, delivery techniques, and the art of making data and statistics meaningful to everyday audiences. The latter session was led by our Founder and ace quizmaster Arvind Rajeev Sarathy.

The enthusiasm in the room was remarkable. Participants brought tremendous energy to every activity, and the stories they shared about their aspirations and motivations were both inspiring and memorable.

The workshop culminated in a competition on 24 May. Participants were assigned iconic moments from Indian cricket history and challenged to provide live-style commentary after a short preparation period. The quality of performances was exceptional, resulting in a joint third place, a joint second place, and one deserving champion.

A special mention to our senior intern, Haricharan Ravi, whose passion for cricket and sports played a key role in developing the content and commentary notes for the event. We also extend our sincere thanks C. Sivakumar sir , Chitra Sivakumar madam , and Arasu TR from Timelinks for being outstanding collaborators throughout the journey.

Events like The Commentary Box are rare. We believe it is among the first initiatives of its kind in Chennai, if not the country, to use cricket commentary as a platform for experiential learning and professional skill development.

We look forward to creating many more such innovative learning experiences with CaratLane, Timelinks, and partners who believe that learning is most powerful when it is creative, practical, and engaging.

5 Days. 2 Age Groups. Countless Questions. Unlimited Curiosity.

The X Quiz It Summer Quiz Camp 2026 was our biggest quiz camp yet.
With record registrations, we introduced separate Junior and Senior batches to make the experience more engaging and age-appropriate. What followed over five days was far more than a quiz camp.

One student summed it up perfectly:
"I thought quizzes were just about knowing answers."
By the end of the camp, students were connecting ideas across subjects, debating perspectives, thinking laterally, and asking better questions.
We welcomed curious minds from Grades 5–11 and watched a community of learners emerge through:
🔹 Critical thinking
🔹 Lateral reasoning
🔹 Team discussions
🔹 Curiosity-driven learning
🔹 Interactions with experienced quizmasters
🔹 Plenty of “Wait... I never knew that!” moments
In a world where information is available instantly, the real skill is not memorising facts but learning how to connect them, question them, and use them meaningfully.
Our biggest takeaway wasn't the scores or the leaderboard. It was seeing students stay back after sessions to discuss topics, challenge answers, and ask for more questions.

A heartfelt thank you to all the students who participated, the parents who trusted us, and the mentors who generously shared their time and expertise.
Special thanks to Quizmaster Mahesh R for conducting all five days of sessions, and to our star quizmasters Arvind Rajeev Sarathy, Berty Ashley, and Shravana Deepan for engaging with participants during the AMA sessions.

The camp may have ended, but the curiosity it sparked is only getting started.
Because the best outcome of a quiz isn't getting the right answer—it's wanting to learn more after the question is over.
