How many of you are going?!
Third event for the day will be Poetizing a Photograph.
Event Time: 11.30 am – 12.30 am (Offstage Event)
Event Description: As the name suggests, this is a test for your spontaneity in terms of poetry writing.
Rules and Regulations:
• You will be given a photograph and an A3 sheet.
• Photograph once taken by the lot number cannot be changed.
• Your poem must be of a minimum length of 10 lines.
• Your depiction through the poem of the photograph must be clear, amounting to a sense of clarity with the tone of your own desire.
• Your poem could be either free-verse or following old verse form.
• The photograph will be given only on the spot and the participants will be allowed only 50 minutes for the completion of their poem.
• Judges’ decision is final.
Judging Criteria:
• Creativity coupled with innovation is key; as is in any creation.
• The flow of imagination within the reader’s mind as instilled by the poem will be cause for victory.
• Accurate descriptions, imagery and use of figures of speech will be held in high regard.
• Judges must be able to picture your photograph with the help of just your poem.
• The choice of words and phrases are also factors which will be assessed.
Participation:
• No bar on number of participants per college.
The second event of the day will be 'Kill me or Save Me'.
Event Time: 11.30 am – 12.30 am (Onstage Event)
Event Description: Are you fighting to live? Are you going to sacrifice yourself to save others? Or are you just plain suicidal? Strive to be bipolar while you try to convince our judges why you should be saved from this “shipwreck” and then “block” that out while you “tackle” them with the idea that you should sacrifice yourself for a higher cause.
Rules of Engagement:
• Essentially a mash up of Shipwreck and Block and Tackle.
• No Profanity. No abusive language or behaviour.
• Your character will be given to you on the spot. You need not necessarily adopt all the characteristics of the character. You have the creative freedom to form your own ideas. You will have to fight to live, or fight to die, as you have to keep switching between the two.
• There will be 2 rounds. The first round individuals will be eliminated, the second you will be pitted against each other, or how the judge sees fit.
• Any other queries can be cleared at the event.
Participation:
• Only 2 participants per college.

• Four minutes will be given as preparation time and the enactment will be of a maximum of four minutes.
• No vulgarity /obscenity allowed and the involvement of any language or action containing the aforementioned factors may lead to disqualification.
Judging Criteria:
• This event will be judged based on creativity and spontaneity.
• The further the idea from any clichéd social setting, the more the chances of winning.
• Clarity of delivery and thought is key to the marking criteria.
• Like in any event, judges are looking for entries that are out of the ordinary but any indication to taboo subjects may become the object of scorn.
Participation:
• Only three participants are allowed per team. Only one team per college.
