Cryptolocker Virus is a ransomware program that encrypts certain files on your computer using a mixture of RSA & AES encryption. When it has finished encrypting your files, it will display the Crypto Locker payment program information (red screen). Crypto locker ransomware, come to you in the form of a phishing email. Basically, one of these emails is a message that looks somewhat official and with it is some kind of attachment. It may be a .pdf or look like a scanned document of some kind (Example : [email protected]/pdf/txt/ppt , Mail subject would be like Income tax/Stock/Images) Once the attachment is opened, Cryptolocker virus begins its dirty work.

After all the encryption completes, you then get the dreaded red screen demanding the malware removal ransom. Although payment will result in decryption of your files, many professionals are suggesting you not pay the fines right away as there are other free ways to remove the virus and restore your files.
If your computer has been infected by CryptoLocker, disconnect from your wireless or wired network right away to prevent further file encryption.
Cryptolocker virus affected data’s is having very no chance of data recovery.

Domain Name, World Wide Web & Email

In the following paragraphs we let you know about the difference between domain name, web and email and their inter-relationship which will form the basis of understanding advanced topics which will follow in subsequent months in Newsletter

1. Domain Name: What is a domain name?

A domain name is the first name we choose for our business, schools, organization. This name will be registered in wide area network or outer world where we are identified with this name. This name is unique and one time and the only other option is to go for .in, .co.in, .net, .org or any other existing.

2. Website: World Wide Web (www)

After establishing the domain name we design the website and introduce the material which would be of interest to our readers. This is feasible through use of .net and other plugins which are readily available.

3. E mail

In point No: 1&2 we have learnt how to start our business, company, network or organization by procuring domain name & website but now how do others contact us? The way to contact us by only E-Mail also called as Electronic Mail.

We need to know the difference between website and email to facilitate sending of emails.

First all domain name starts with WWW. Second all email id's ends with .com where the last word tells you the exact address of your location may be company, organization, and network name if commercial and if personal it show gmail.com or yahoomail.com and many others which are available in cyber space.

Internet giants like yahoo, google, Microsoft, rediff are now giving upto 7GB, 15GB and even upto 1Tera byte to all free mail accounts.
