Have you been seeing a lot of your daily internet feed related to the First Image of a Black hole? Are you excited to know more about the Event Horizon Telescope which led us through one of the biggest scientific breakthroughs of the century ?
We are conducting a talk on "What are black holes and what did we see in the EHT photograph?" by Professor Suresh Govindarajan, Department of Physics, on April 17th (Wednesday). The talk will provide an elementary introduction to black holes at the level of an undergraduate student. We will then try to see how the image was obtained and the information that we obtain from the black hole.
