We have been working in Punnapakkam Panchayat for quite sometime now. However, the Project PennShakti, a joint project of ISD and TICINO Rural Development Society, Chennai 40 helped us to do little more in the last one year.
Skills, Role models, Leadership, Establishing Local Institutions...all have been initiated for an inclusive and sustainable development in the village.. with support of the partners, Rotary Club Guindy for providing the sewing machines for the training, and Mrs Thenmozhi for providing the space for conducting the training.
Yesterday, on April 12, we paid our tributes to our mentor Prof K N George. On the occasion we recognized the reciprocation of the rural community of Punnapakkam village with who we have been working intensely for the past one year by giving them four awards. For more watch the video, please.

Today, ISD had its presence and participation 1. In the Gramasabha- of Kilambakkam Panchayath, Ellapuram Panchayat Union, Thiruvallur district 2. Republic day celebration at the Panchayat Union School in Kilambakkam and 3. Republic D celebration at Bethel Global School CBSE, Thirumullaivoyal, Chennai 62. Thanks to the Panchayath, Kilambakkam community and the respective School authorities for recognising and accepting ISD.
