AADHAN

The name says it all "Aadhan" in Sansrikt means 'Box'. It is a Social Enterprise creating impact by recycling old shipping containers into eco-friendly infrastructural space.
The movable, eco-friendly containers that they make contribute greatly to the waste management and the problem of space, immovability,etc., in this shrinking world.
Not only the structures but also the interiors for these bulidings are eco-friendly and no worries, these buildings are treated to ensure that is habitable.

The impact they created is not just related to recycling, but also have built classrooms for children from impoverished communities, saving energy and much more

Self Employed Women's Association (SEWA)


SEWA is a trade union registered in 1972. It is an organisation of poor, self-employed/independently employed women workers. These are women who earn a living through their own labour or small businesses.

It was founded with the initiative of the leader of the Women's Wing, Ela Bhatt, and the president of the TLA, Arvind Buch

SEWA is both an organisation and a movement. The SEWA movement is enhanced by its being a sangam or confluence of three movements : the labour movement, the cooperative movement and the women’s movement.

It is a membership based organisation moving towards its two goals of Full Employment and Self Reliance

It is just not confined to a particular place/state! It has its wings spread all over the country and has many Sister Organisations.

SOCIETY AGAINST VIOLENCE IN EDUCATION (SAVE)

SAVE was founded in 2005 by Kushal Bannerjee, then MBBS student in Kolkata after he was moved by the su***de of a first year Engineering student, Amit Sahai Gangwar at the B. R Ambedhkar Institute of Technology in Jalandhar. The day after Amit’s death the incident was covered by major news channels and Kushal was appalled by the incident. He reached out to the authorities and many online anti-ragging websites and realized that they were only for online discussions. He wanted to something definite towards controlling the physical and mental abuse in the learning spheres. Later on through his columns in newspapers he was joined by other enthusiastic youths who wanted to curb the evils of ragging and bullying.

Their main objectives include sensitizing and creating awareness among the public against the evils of ragging and bullying

Extending support for victims and their families

Providing support to educational Institutions in implementing anti-ragging policies

They also conduct research and train people in this field.

Their motto is ‘Learn with fun and not with fear’. SAVE is India’s only registered organization that is dedicated to eradicating violence from educational centers

Three million babies die in the first 28 days after it is born and there is nothing more saddening than to watch helplessly as a new born baby's life ends before it had had a chance at life. Many of these deaths are preventable if babies are placed in the safety and warmth of a neonatal incubator.
Mr. Sashi Kumar wanted to do exactly this and hence produces 'The Mondiale Life Pod incubator' which is designed to be indestructible, purifies its own air and water, and run for ten years, saving up to 500 little lives for a fraction of the price of existing incubators. Hence we call him "The Man who Saves Babies"
