We are immensely proud to be Indians and grateful for the freedom we enjoy as a nation. **Hindustan Bible Institute and College (HBI)** joyfully commemorated India’s 80th Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit.

We thank God for the courageous freedom fighters who sacrificed so much to secure our nation’s freedom. As we remembered their sacrifice, we were also reminded of our responsibility to serve our nation faithfully and contribute to its peace, progress, and prosperity.

Our students did a remarkable job in making the celebration meaningful, vibrant, and memorable. We extend our sincere appreciation to our faculty members, **Mr. Poujik Kamei and Mr. Jerish**, for their leadership and dedicated efforts in coordinating and guiding the entire celebration.

May we continue to cherish our freedom, honour the sacrifices of those who made it possible, and faithfully uphold our responsibilities as citizens of India.

We are grateful to God for the successful completion of our first P.G. Seminar of the 2026–2027 academic year—our 21st P.G. Seminar overall!

Mr. Poujik, our Old Testament faculty member, presented a thought-provoking paper entitled, **“The Enigmatic Strange Women of Proverbs 1–9: Historical, Lexical, and Theological Perspectives.”**

The seminar provided an enriching platform for rigorous academic engagement, meaningful scholarly interaction, and deeper exploration of the biblical text. We praise God for the continued growth of our academic community and for the opportunity to nurture thoughtful and faithful scholarship.
