GMAT Review & Edit: Unlimited Marking, Limited Changes (3 Per Section!)
https://www.youtube.com/shorts/lC7bw9EtPeA
β
ANSWER: YES - GMAT has Review & Edit feature for ALL sections!
π Complete Feature Breakdown:
Part 1: Does it exist?
β
YES - Available for Quant, Verbal, AND Data Insights
Part 2: Available for all sections?
β
YES - All three sections support review and edit
Part 3: How many questions can you review/edit?
π¨ THIS IS WHERE IT GETS TRICKY!
β οΈ Critical Distinction: Changes vs. Questions
UNLIMITED MARKING:
You can mark ALL 64 questions for review
Review as many as you want
No limit on how many questions you flag
LIMITED CHANGES:
You can make only 3 CHANGES per section
NOT 3 questions
NOT 3 edits per question
3 TOTAL CHANGES per section
π Examples to Clarify:
Scenario 1: Change 3 Different Questions
Change Q3 answer: C β D (1 change)
Change Q7 answer: A β B (1 change)
Change Q9 answer: E β C (1 change)
Total: 3 changes used β
Scenario 2: Change Same Question Multiple Times
Q3 initial: C
Change 1: C β D (rethinking)
Change 2: D β B (reconsidering)
Change 3: B β C (back to original)
Total: 3 changes to ONE question β
Scenario 3: Mix of Both
Q3: C β A (1 change)
Q3: A β B (2 changes - both on same question!)
Q15: E β D (3 changes - different question)
Total: 3 changes used (across 2 questions) β
π‘ What This Means:
Count by ACTIONS, not QUESTIONS
Each time you modify an answer = 1 change
Multiple changes to same question still cost individual changes
3 changes total per section = your limit
Section-by-Section Limit:
Quant: 3 changes maximum
Verbal: 3 changes maximum
Data Insights: 3 changes maximum
Grand total: 9 changes possible across entire exam
π€ How This Affects Adaptive Algorithm:
Key insight:
The GMAT adapts based on your FIRST marked answer, not your final changed answer!
Example:
Q3: You mark C (incorrect)
GMAT shows easier Q4 (because C was wrong)
Later during review: You change Q3 to D (correct)
Q4's difficulty DOESN'T change (already determined by your first answer)
But Q3 now scores correctly with your new answer D
Result:
Changing answers affects YOUR SCORE, not future question difficulty!
