Young professionals working full time and students in their final year of an undergraduate or postgraduate degree are encouraged to apply. Fellows will be compensated during their 2 year commitment. You can make an immediate difference today by directly educating the minds of tomorrow. You can redefine teaching and bring students from low-income backgrounds to achieve at a level similar to their wealthier peers. You can build outstanding leadership skills in these two years through our teaching methods, our training models and the community project that you will manage. Your direct involvement at a grass-roots level will empower you to consider long-term systemic impact of your decisions in your academic or professional career after the fellowship. But most importantly, you will build patience, perseverance, planning and organizational skills while gaining humility and maturity – all integral skills to be part of the upcoming generation of our nation’s leaders. How does Teach for India fit into your long-term plans? Your contribution to Teach for India is important to us and we aim to create meaningful opportunities for the TFI alum. We will assist in placing TFI alum in positions and jobs that will enable them to be on a leadership track. You can apply for a job or a post-graduate program and secure a 2 year deferral (so that they hold the position for you until you complete the Fellowship) or you can take advantage of our tie-ups to secure a job or a higher education placement at the end of your Fellowship. To complement your experience and prepare you for life after your two years as a fellow, Teach for India has support systems in place that assist you with career placement, soft skills for further education and alumni support. Teach For India is scheduled for a placement talk on the 9th of January. All placed and unplaced students can attend the talk, but you have to register with the placement office.
Those that don't register cannot attend the talk. So PLEASE do register.
