Google: Mobile App Interstitials Ads Can Hurt Your Mobile Rankings
Google announced that starting November 1, 2015, mobile sites that have app interstitials that hide a "significant amount of content" will not be considered Google mobile friendly and thus won't benefit from the mobile friendly ranking boost.
This should come as no surprise because Google has said time and time again this is an issue. Gary Illyes said he wants it to be a negative ranking factor. They www.internetmarketingcourses.co.in published a case study showing how they don't work as well. They hinted that this was something coming for some time now and even slipped up once about it.
The surprise is that this only impacts mobile sites that come from Google's mobile search, and then have this app interstitials only that cover most of the screen. It is surprising it doesn't impact all large ads that cover most of the content on your mobile site, no matter the format, the source and so forth.
Here is a sample of what is a mobile friendly and not mobile friendly app interstitial:
Why only app interstitials and not other ads? Maybe because Google and Apple have native ways to do app interstitials through Apple Smart Banners and www.internetmarketingcourses.co.in Chrome App Install Banners?
I can't imagine Google will stop here and only do this with apps.
The funny thing is that Google launched full screen in app interstitials as an ad format. I know it isn't mobile search but it is still very annoying.www.internetmarketingcourses.co.in

Search Metrics Now With Google Update Overlays To Reports
SearchMetrics, which is a pretty solid tool when tracking how websites are doing when various Google updates touch down, added a neat new feature to their charts.
You can now see, on the chart, the various Google updates overlaid on top of the graph. For example, in the chart below, you will see for my site, that we got nailed by Panda 4.1
You can click on the chart to enlarge it. So now, even non experts can see quickly which Google update may have resulted in their site dropping in Google.
It is a small change to SearchMetrics, but it is a very useful one. Many of the other reporting tools do offer this but I find SearchMetrics to be one of the more accurate ones.
Glenn Gabe posted this on Google+ and said New in "Searchmetrics, Google updates in search trending (which are clickable). Nice addition." Agreed.
You can toggle them on or off by clicking on the Google box under the graph.

Google Feedback Requested: How Would You Improve The Search Console Messaging
Mariya Moeva from Google posted this week on Google+ that Google is looking for feedback on how to improve the overall messaging and notification system within the Google Search Console, formerly known at Google Webmaster Tools.
She asked on Google+ "How do you use Search Console messages? We want to hear from you." Google's Search Console sends out many types of notifications, across crawl errors alerts, new owner confirmations, malware warnings, manual action notices, hack alerts, and much more. Google wants to know if they send out too many, of the ones they send out, are they useful, do you want them, etc.
The survey is over here and it asks you first information about who you are and then asks asking:
How many sites you manage?
How many messages you get per week?
If you read them, where you read those messages?
Which ones you act on versus which ones you ignore?
Why you might skip acting on them?
Again, you can take the survey over here.

Google Mobile Friendly Update June 14th? Nope.
Normally I try to pick up on the Google algorithm changes early on. So when I saw Eric Enge post on Google+ about a mobile friendly update that he thinks touched down on June 14th, I scratched my head. Normally I'd pick up on that on June 15th, the day after.
So I asked Gary Illyes from Google if there was an update and for some reason he did not reply on that Google+ thread.
I dug into the behemoth of Google Analytics profiles share with me, and I have a ton, and looked at the data. From the sites I checked, I saw no evidence of a mobile friendly update. I saw no signs of a mobile friendly update based on the community itself not saying anything. I saw virtually no signs of it.http://www.internetmarketingcourses.co.in/seo-training-in-chennai/
The graph Eric shared was of Mojo Motors, which showed an uptick in their mobile organic traffic:
But this is just one site and with one site, anything like this can happen.
You can check your sites, do you see signs of any update like this? The fastest way to check is to go to Google Analytics, click on Audience > Mobile > Overview > and then check off desktop and mobile in the rows below and click on "Plot Rows." You can then finer tune those reports by organic Google traffic.

No, Google Did Not Refresh Panda Yesterday .........
Yesterday I received an unusual number of emails and messages on social media asking me if Google refreshed the Panda or Penguin algorithm yesterday or the day before. The forums were dead, no one was talking about any major changes. So I told those users initially I saw no signs of an update.
But after getting more and more emails and tweets, I decided to just confirm with Google.
Google told me on the record, there was no Panda refresh thus far. They implied is still coming soon but said for sure, it has not refreshed this week - yet.http://www.internetmarketingcourses.co.in/seo-training-in-chennai/
They would not tell me when it will be refreshed, nor would they comment on if it is tool late to fix your site for this Panda refresh, but they have been saying it is coming soon.
Here are some of the public tweets I can share with you, but the stuff I got via email showed huge drops in traffic from Google (penalty like) but again, the masses would be crying and this was not the case.

You May Be Too Late To Save Your Site With The Next Google Panda Refresh :
Yea, we are all waiting for the next Google Panda refresh, we have been told time and time again it is coming soon.
But as you know, it has not yet come.
The thing is, it may already be too late to make changes to your site for this Panda refresh cycle. What I mean by that is that if your site was hit by the last Panda update and today you decide to refresh all your content by having experts write the most authoritative and useful content pieces, www.internetmarketingcourses.co.in it still may be too late. Google may have already run all the data for the Panda refresh but they have not yet pushed the release. There are many stages of a Panda update and if it is coming soon, I suspect the data aspect has already been refreshed and the Panda score your site has, probably is set in stone for the upcoming Panda 4.2 or Panda 5 (whatever we name it).

Top 10 SEO Techniques to Focus On in 2015
Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is the process of increasing the visibility of a website in search engine result pages (SERPs). It is one of the most important factors that decides whether your website is accessible to your target audience or not in major search engines like Google, Yahoo, Bing, etc.
As per estimates, over 65 per cent of the total organic search result clicks go to top 5 results and over 70 per cent users never go beyond first page. It is therefore becomes a necessity for every organization to deploy best SEO practices in order to make their websites visible to millions of Internet users seeking information related to their business domains.
Below mentioned are the top 10 SEO techniques that could help a website ranks higher in search engine result pages:
1. Keyword Research: Before planning an online campaign, the first and the foremost thing is to identify the most popular keywords related to your business domain. There are several online tools like Google AdWords, Wordstream, etc. that can help you find effective keywords on the basis of which you can develop your website. Relevant keywords enable a website to get a jump-start in search engine result pages.http://www.internetmarketingcourses.co.in/seo-training-in-chennai/
2. Backlinks: Backlinks are incoming links to a web page. High quality backlinks enhance the credibility of a website and ensure web pages to rank higher in major search engine results. There are many ways to get relevant backlinks to the website that include submission of informative articles on web directories, participation in online discussions, content sharing on social networking sites and guest posting, etc.
Internal Links: While it is important to create backlinks for a website to index it better in search engines, it is equally essential to build internal links that could navigate users to different pages across a website conveniently. Creating internal links not only improve user experience but also boost PageRank by letting search engines know that your website has lots of valid content.

4. Sitemaps: A sitemap allows web crawlers to easily find all the pages of your website and make them available for search engines. It is a file that carries information about all the URLs on a website which are available for crawling. Sitemaps make it easier for users and search engines to find a particular web page quickly and efficiently, hence reduce the number of clicks and time for loading.
5. Relevant Content: Content is the backbone of any website. The information provided on a website helps readers to know about your company and other relevant details. The content should be written keeping in mind the targeted keywords to make the website search engine friendly. It should be relevant to the topic discussed, easily readable and provide complete information.http://www.internetmarketingcourses.co.in/seo-training-in-chennai/
6. Optimise Meta Tags: Meta tags are HTML codes that describe the content on a web page. The two most important meta tags are keywords and description. The description meta tag is the information that users read below the content title on the search engine result pages. It should consist of one or two relevant keywords and looks like a sentence to encourage readers click on the searched links.
7. Use Alt Tags for Images: While crawlers do easy search for content, they use alt tags to get relevant information about the images published on a web page. Alt tags provide web crawlers with relevant description of an image, so that it doesn’t miss out while indexing. Using alt tags for images improve search engine ranking of a web page.
8. Social media: While social media doesn’t come under SEO, it’s an important aspect that could generate much lead to a website. Social media includes various real time platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Google+, Instagram, Tumbler, Pinterest and other blogging sites through which one can directly connect with his/her target audience. Domain names with relevant keywords help readers to identify the topics which are covered in the websites. Avoid using too many keywords in the domain name as it could lead your site looks like a spam to search engines.
10. Use Keywords In Your Headings: Headings are the first thing that search engines and readers get attracted to while searching relevant content over the Internet. Page titles are also the favorites of web crawlers. It is therefore advised to use one or two keywords in your headings which are relevant to the content on the page and provide appropriate search engines targeting.

SEO Best Practices and Trends for 2015
What SEO Best Practices will be HOT in 2015?
The Internet is a huge factor in how marketing is performed nowadays, and keeping up with the latest SEO trends is important to keeping your marketing edge. This is because traditional push marketing is being replaced by more cost-effective inbound marketing strategies like search engine optimization (SEO), that drives targeted audiences to you as apposed to out bound marketing where you are marketing to the masses and hoping you reach the right people. Make sure to bookmark this page as your SEO best practices checklist and don’t let up! Here are the top 8 SEO trends to watch for in 2015.
1. Content is King. Google’s latest search engine algorithms focuses more and more on content, which means there is less focus on keyword saturation and more focus on whether or not the content is actually relevant to the keywords. You should continue to generate high-quality content that uses appropriate, relevant keywords and synonyms for those keywords, but focus more on the content than the words themselves.
2. Social Signals Will Be Even More Important. Changes within the search engine algorithms have not just placed greater importance on the content, but they’ve also begun to rely more upon social signals to elevate results up the ladder in search ranking importance. Eventually, we expect to see content and social signals integrated, with content of higher quality getting more social shares and thus rising higher in the search engine results.
3. Online Security Will Become More Important in Rankings. If your website deals with online payments and sensitive customer information, you need to make sure you are using proper security measures to safeguard that information. For example, using security certificates and https instead of http will help your website grow in search engine rankings in 2015. If you want to confirm the security of your website, check out WordPress Support.http://www.internetmarketingcourses.co.in
4. Mobile-Friendly SEO will grow. The mobile user experience is rumored to be another important ranking factor in Google’s search engine algorithm, since the mobile Internet has surpassed the desktop Internet and will continue to grow in 20125. Estimates say that in 2015, there will be as many as 50 billion local searches using mobile devices—wouldn’t you want to be found in those searches?
5. Increased focus on conversations instead of keywords. Semantic search became a big deal in 2013, with Google’s Hummingbird update. Search engines are now using context, meaning, and intent of the words in a search query, instead of just focusing on matching up keywords. This means long-tail, or more “conversational,” keyword phrases will grow in importance for SEO, and you should begin to tailor some of your SEO efforts towards engaging in a conversation with search engine users.
6. Link Building Will Focus on Brand Mentions. In 2015, proper link building will continue to be important. What’s changed, though, is how the search engines will interpret those backlinks coming to and from a website. The content will get more of the focus, so you need to think about relevance and social popularity. Brand mentions, relevant information the source website is discussing about your brand or website, might not require a hyperlink but will still factor into SEO.
7. There Will Be More Visual-Based SEO. High quality, original content featuring visual media elements like graphics, images, and video are becoming high performing assets for the top-ranked web pages in 2014, and this is expected to continue throughout 2015. Rich text with visual elements gets priority in SERPs over web pages with just text, and video marketing on YouTube can generate a huge amount of link and social sharing traffic for your site. http://www.internetmarketingcourses.co.in/seo-training-in-chennai/
8. Say So Long to Keyword Rankings, and Hello to Return on Investment. The primary focus in 2015 will switch from keyword rankings to more important elements that would impact your ROI. If your top-ranked web page doesn’t generate conversions and sales, that top ranking doesn’t matter. You will need to apply new SEO strategies that focus beyond link building and keywords, and account for how your content engages with your audience and convinces them to convert into leads or sales.
2015 is on us, so start paying attention to these trends and best practices now and you’ll be ahead of the game all year.

Google: Panda Algorithm Refresh Still Coming Soon
A little over three weeks ago, Google's Gary Illyes said on stage at SMX Advanced that the Panda data refresh is coming soon. He said, somewhere around 2, 3, or 4 weeks.
So as the fourth week approaches, http://www.internetmarketingcourses.co.in
SEOs and Webmasters are getting anxious - which is why Gary didn't want to mention how soon. Google needs to approve and push the change and that might take a week or it might be postponed for weeks on end.
Gary replied to questions about it on Twitter today saying, "And that's kids, why I should stop giving timeframes." He added, "yes, it's coming soon as far as I know."

That Google Update May Have Benefited News Or Fresh Content Sites :
On June 17th, we reported about a Google update, Google later confirmed the update as being part of their core algorithm and not related to Panda or Penguin or even HTTPS.
Marcus Tober provided some really interesting insight into this update basically showing how sites with news or fresh content seemed to see the biggest lift from this update. He showed how the Wall Street Journal saw a 19% lift in search visibility in Google, USA Today saw an 11% climb, http://www.internetmarketingcourses.co.in
Business Insider saw a 20% climb. Heck, this site saw a 134% increase according to SearchMetrics.I am no where near pre Panda 4.1 days but it was a nice uptick. Referrals from Google jumped 25% overall as well.
The interesting part, which may just be coincidence, is that the Google Trends relaunch. Google Trends is now run in almost real-time, which may have given Google better data for their core search feature?

Google: Panda Refresh Not Likely Happening On July 4th Weekend
A month ago today, we reported that Gary Illyes from said a Panda refresh is coming within 2-4 weeks or so. Well, it has been over 4 weeks now and still no refresh, but that is not uncommon, launch dates with Google often get delayed, yes - even with the Panda updates.
Yesterday, in a http://www.internetmarketingcourses.co.in
German Google Hangout, John (Johannes) Mueller from Google said in German that the refresh is coming soon. Oliver Engelbrecht from seo-portal.de transcribed it, "I think the next update, I don't know if it's coming this week or next week, but in any case it should be released soon."
But I was nervous even with the transcription by a German speaking individual, that something got lost.
So I asked John Mueller in the English hangout this morning on Google+ about what he said at the 24:15 mark.
He basically said, yes, it is still coming "fairly soon," but he wouldn't expect it to go live on the July 4th weekend. Today, July 3rd, is an official holiday, so Googlers are off in Mountain View. But he did say expect it to happen "in a few weeks." If I had to guess, maybe next Thursday night.
