X is a song by the famous band Y. The song is also the name of their album. In the video of the song, (which was directed by the band's keyboardist, 14 years after the death of the vocalist), two people from Hollywood walk of fame are referenced. The camera shot turns from one star to another. Also, in the coda of the song, the vocalist repeats the phrase Z which is the anagram of his name.
Who are the people referenced and why? Also, X and Y? :)

X is a small island country in the Southern Pacific Ocean with a population of around 2 lakh people.
Interestingly, on 30th December,2011 something very unusual happened here.
According to government records neither anyone was born nor anybody died in this country on this date... no trade took place...no bank interest was charged...nobody got married or celebrated an anniversary...in fact there are no government records of any activity on this date!!!

In Japanese culture it is widely believed that X brings good luck to thousands of high school students who sit for their entrance examinations to gain an admission into Japan's top universities because co-incidentally X in Japanese translates to "You shall surely win" or "Be Victorious".
Y (manufacturers of X) responded to this fortuitous linguistic association by producing for the Japanese market special types of X that carry additional exam-related symbols on their packaging.
Also when the Japan Postal service was being privatized, Y seized an opportunity and created a business model that didn't exist before. Y partnered with the newly privatized post office and created a new package of X that could be posted, called X Mail. People could write their message on the packaging, put a stamp on it and put it in the mail. Many post office branches during exams decorate their stores with X branding which has now become a part of their culture.
What are X and Y?

Starting in 1931, magazine ads for _____ featured Santa Claus as a kind, jolly man in a red suit. Because magazines were so widely viewed, and because this image of Santa appeared for more than three decades, the image of Santa most people have today is largely based on this company's advertising.
Which company is this?

"A person with ___________ is open and available to others, affirming of others, does not feel threatened that others are able and good, for he or she has a proper self-assurance that comes from knowing that he or she belongs in a greater whole and is diminished when others are humiliated or diminished, when others are tortured or oppressed."
