Children have a natural affinity for sand play. They dig in it, sift it, build with it, pour it and enjoy the feel and smell of it. It promotes physical development and improves eye-hand coordination. It stretches the imagination and is an excellent avenue for children to learn social skills as they learn to share, compromise and negotiate.

Remembering Roald Dahl on his birth anniversary!

Dahl was a multifaceted personality, but is best remembered for being one of the greatest storytellers for children, with stories such as The Gremlins, Matilda, James and the Great Peach and of course the famous Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, which was adapted for the silver screen as the much loved W***y Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.

At ABC Playschool, we believe in nurturing imagination and creativity. This helps the child to think outside the box, look for new innovative solutions to problems and to see issues from different viewpoints, which in today's fast paced world, has become very essential to success at school, at work and in life.

Plant science is one of the earliest types of science that children can understand. They love learning about soil, plant types, growing seeds, germination. This is one of the first hands-on plant activities that we've planned. These activities will spark their imagination, help them to learn about plants and have fun at the same time.
