World Newspaper Chronicles: A journey through time and headlines

Various English and Language Newspapers in India and Abroad with their history was exhibited in an event today (10.11.2023) at Department of Media Sciences under the banner NEXUS- 2023. Photocopies and hard newspapers starting from Bengal gazette to Washington post were displayed at the event. Totally 75 newspapers from various states in India, USA, UK, China, Finland, UAE, Malaysia, Singapore, Sweden, Australia were exhibited with their history. The Guest for the event was Mr. Jayakumar Independent Journalist & Ex-Video Journalist, BBC World Service. “He stressed the importance of learning history to be successful journalists”. He asked the students to acquire more skills to be successful journalists. He asked the students to be prepared for AI storm in the field of Journalism. Dr. Velayutham Chandrasekaran AP, of the Department of Media Sciences, Anna University was present during the event. This event was organized by the First Semester, MSc Electronic Media (5 years).
