Jhoola's Eco-Friendly Doll Making Camp (Theme: Traditional Games) invites children to slow down, work with their hands, and rediscover the joy of childhood.
Across five days, children will create 10 handcrafted dolls using eco-friendly clay. Alongside, they will also learn to play Traditional Games. On Day 6, parents will get together with children to paint these dolls.
The final day brings it all together. On April 12, we host an open-to-all doll exhibition and traditional games gathering, where children present their work, teach visitors the games they learned, and play together.

We’re happy to bring back Jhoola Art Club — something many of you have been asking for.
This time, it’s with our much-loved art teacher Ms. Pavithra Raghavan, who guided our children in the early years of Jhoola. Parents who’ve been with us from the beginning will remember how different these sessions felt.
Jhoola Art Club was never about copying drawings or finishing “perfect” artwork. It helped children slow down, explore materials, trust their ideas, and build a quiet confidence with art.
We’re opening registrations for February.
Theme: Soft Pastels
Saturdays : 5 - 7 PM | Age 6+
Fees: INR 2,000 per month (all materials included)
Limited seats.

This is the kind of feedback that matters to all of us us at Jhoola.
A child who understands her emotions, speaks up and more importantly, doesn’t carry hurt quietly inside.
When a child can handle bullying, seek solutions, and talk openly at home, what more can we ask for as facilitators of this class!
Sharing this here in case you are wondering if Emotional Intelligence Classes are needed or do they really makes a difference.
In our Emotional Intelligence classes at Jhoola, we help children name what they feel, make sense of it and respond mindfully; without being preachy - but through activities, conversations and mostly just by listening to the little ones!

Our 2025 Jhoola Reading Champs have set the bar high this year. These children didn’t just borrow books — they built a steady reading habit, one visit and one story at a time.
If you’re hoping to nudge your child toward regular reading, Jhoola’s Lending Library is a simple place to begin. Curated books for every age, a warm space to explore, and a community that celebrates readers.
Your child could be a reading champ too.

The story goes that Ernest Hemingway was once challenged to write a complete story in just six words.
In just six words, a world of emotion.
At Jhoola Book Club’s Tiny Tales session, children will take on the same challenge with Deepika Arun, our founder, to become little wordsmiths, trying to craft micro-stories using just six words.
Date: 21 June (Friday)
Time: 4 – 5:30 PM
Age: 8+
Fee: INR 300
A perfect session to build creativity, language, and imagination — all in a joyful, book-loving space.

📚 **Happy National Reading Day!** 📚
Did you know? *National Reading Day* is celebrated every year on **June 19th** in honour of **P.N. Panicker**, the visionary who lit the spark of the library movement in Kerala and across India. His simple mission — *"Read and Grow"* — transformed generations. Thanks to his efforts, Kerala became one of the most literate states in the country.
On this special day, we wish every parent who is raising a reader or *becoming* one. You are planting seeds of curiosity, imagination, and wisdom in your children — one story at a time. 🌱
🎒 If you're wondering how to celebrate today, here’s a gentle nudge:
✨ *Take your child to a local library.*
✨ *Let them choose a book.*
✨ *And just read together.*
Local libraries are more than buildings with books — they are community spaces of discovery, dialogue, and delight. Supporting them means investing in a lifelong habit that no screen can replace.
Happy Reading Day! Let’s raise a generation that reads, thinks, and grows. 💫
