Q: What do you do with a sick chemist?
A: If you can't helium, and you can't curium, then you might as well barium
Q: Anyone know any jokes about sodium?
A: Na
Helium walks into a bar,
The bar tender says "We don't serve noble gasses in here."
Helium doesn't react.
Silver walks up to Gold in a bar and says, "AU, get outta here!"
Two chemists go into a restaurant.
The first one says "I think I'll have an H2O."
The second one says "I think I'll have an H2O too" -- and he died because he was served hydrogen peroxide (H2O2)
Q: What did the scientist say when he found 2 isotopes of helium?
A: HeHe
Making bad chemistry jokes because all the good ones Argon!
The Science Factory
The Science Factory is one of India’s first science enrichment programs for school kids, making science study a truly visual and participative experience.
The Science Factory conducts workshops and partners with schools to offer hands-on, fun, scientific experiences designed especially for children between the ages of 4 to 11. Every Science Factory workshop is filled with experiments that children can try out themselves in a totally safe environment under adult guidance. The topics for the experiments are drawn from the school curriculum and help th

Fun Science at CMS School in Kottayam. These 5th graders were so excited and quick to pick up everything that was taught, that it was a treat for us! Kids from other classes were popping their heads to demand when they were having this in their classes. Here are some pics.

We so so agree Wendy!
Skip the fairy tales, and tell your daughter science bedtime stories | PBS NewsHour I was never very good at science. Mostly because it was taught to me the same way math was taught to me: It wasn’t. I mean it was, technically. But not in a way that inspired me or held my … Continue reading →

Tis the season to be jolly! To bring in the holidays, we thought we would share a few experiments which we thought may specially be fun to do around Christmas and New Year time.
So for starters, here's a simple and fun activity to do at home for our younger scientists and the science behind it.
Oil and water are immiscible liquids and further oil is less dense than water and thus floats on it. Try this out! Take a plastic container lid with a tablespoon of oil on it, an ink dropper and a number of water colours (food colours work best and given the Christmas theme, we recommend that you take red and green). Pick up individual colours using the ink dropper and gently drop the colours onto their container lid of oil. The coloured water will make little bubble like drops on the oil and do not mix up. Once the creation is complete, you can gently lower a white piece of paper over the top of the container and press gently to have the work of art transferred onto the paper.
Science Funda: The coloured water remains as bubble like drops on the oil without mixing into the oil because oil and water do not mix.
