80th Independence Day Celebrations at Amrita Vidyalayam, Nesapakkam, KK Nagar, Chennai 🇮🇳✨

We at Amrita Vidyalayam, Nesapakkam celebrated 80 glorious years of Independence with immense pride, joy and patriotic fervour! 🎉❤️🇮🇳

The auspicious day began with 🪔 Lamp Lighting and Prayer 🙏 by our dignitaries, followed by a warm Welcome Address 🤝.

The most solemn moment was the Flag Hoisting 🇮🇳 by our Honourable Chief Guest, Mr. Raja Sattanathan, accompanied by our Head Boy & Head Girl 👦👧. The gathering sang the Flag Song 🎶, took the National Pledge with pride, witnessed an impressive March Past 🥁 showcasing discipline and unity, followed by the National Anthem 🎖️🇮🇳.

Our Chief Guest, Mr. Raja Sattanathan - a Business Consultant with 20+ years in customer retention, blending engineering, marketing & psychology to help leading corporates build lasting relationships, and a personality deeply rooted in Indian values 🇮🇳🙏, delivered a truly inspiring address 🌟. He enlightened the students on the significance of our rituals 🪔, emphasized the importance of contributing to society 🤝 and highlighted the need to embrace and learn AI 🤖📚 for the future.

The celebration continued with vibrant cultural programmes 🌈. Students delivered powerful speeches in English, Hindi & Tamil 🗣️📜 remembering our freedom fighters, a soulful Patriotic Song 🎤 by our choir, energetic dance performances 💃🕺 by senior students and a lovely dance 👶🌟 by our Kindergarten children that brought joy to all 😊.

The programme concluded with Vote of Thanks 🙏 and Closing Prayer 🪔.

Amrita Vidyalayam, Nesapakkam, K.K. Nagar participated in the Tamil Nadu Mass Anti-Drug Pledge on 11.08.2026 during the morning school assembly.

All students and teachers took the Anti-Drug Pledge together at the assembly.

The programme created awareness among students to say NO to drugs and to lead a healthy, disciplined and drug-free life.
