Friends, we are thrilled that FTA is invited to perform at the South and Central Asia Fulbright Conference in Feb 28th and on March 1st at the wonderful Kochi-Muziris Biennale at the Main Pavilion, Fort Kochi.

Such exciting times to meet artistes, present our work, perform, soak in the arts and enjoy.

Students of Ranga Mandira will present a short tribute to Sarasama today at this function. They are to dance to one of her iconic choreographies in her own voice . A recording from the early 90s. The glorious music and Sarasama's voice booming across our dance studio at rehearsals makes me tear up each time. It is an understatement to say we do not have such quality of music and stage craft today, per se ! And those of us who had the fortune of working with the great doyens of the dance world like my Guru are indeed blessed and perhaps have the onus now to atleast preserve that ethos in memory for posterity- swarnamalya

In rehearsal are Deepti, Pavitra, Vilasini and Nandika guided by Ruckmani, my senior student
