Dakshina Bharat Hindi Prachar Sabha was started in Madras by Mahatma Gandhi in the year 1918. The proceedings were inaugurated by Dr. Annie Besant. श्री.पंकज, अपर आयुक्त, चेन्नइ और पुडुचेरी के केंद्रीय भविष्य निधि, गांधी जयंती के अवसर पर टी.नगर चेन्नई स्थित दक्षिण भारत हिन्दी प्रचार सभा मुख्यालय में मुख्य अतिथि थे। सभा के संस्थापक व प्रथम अध्यक्ष महात्मा गांधी की प्रतिमा पर हारार्पण करने के बाद श्री पंकज ने सभा के छात्रों और कर्मचारियों के साथ स्वच्छ भारत दिवस में भाग लिये। कोषाध्यक्ष श्रीमती. गीता, रजिस्ट्रार मंजूनाथ अम्बिग और विद्यालय की प्राचार्या श्रीमती पद्मेश्वरी तथा अन्य कर्मचारियाँ प्रस्तुत कार्यक्रम में भाग लिये.
Sri. Pankaj,Additional central provident fund commissioner Chennai & Puducherry was chief guest at DBHP Sabha headquarters at T.Nagar Chennai for Gandhi Jayanti. After garlanding the statue of Sabha founder and First President Mahatma Gandhi Sri.Pankaj took part in swacch bharat diwas with students and staff of the Sabha. Treasurer Smt.Geeta, Registrar Manjunath Ambig and Vidyalaya Principal Smt. Padmeshwari were present on the ocassion with other members of the staff.

दक्षिण भारत में हिंदी के प्रचार - प्रसार के अंतर्गत विशिष्ट योगदान को ध्यान में रखते हुए "दक्षिण भारत हिन्दी प्रचार सभा-आंध्र प्रदेश तथा तेलंगाना - हैदराबाद को "बिहार सरकार के राजभाषा विभाग द्वारा "विद्याकर कवि पुरस्कार" से दिनांक 31/07/2023 को मुख्यमंत्री श्री नीतीश कुमार के करकमलों से पुरस्कृत किया गया l आंध्र सभा के अध्यक्ष श्री पी ओबय्या जी के कुशल मार्गदर्शन में प्रभारी सचिव श्रीमती ए जानकी की सफल संचालन तथा सभा के पदाधिकारीगण, कार्यकर्तागण, प्रचारकगण, समस्त हिन्दी प्रेमी एवं हिन्दी सेवियों के अमूल्य सहयोग से यह संभव हुआ।

श्रीमती गीता.एस को 19-06-23 को डॉ.के.मुरली के निधन के कारण हुई रिक्ति में दक्षिण भारत हिन्दी प्रचार सभा मद्रास के कोषाध्यक्ष के रूप में कार्य करने के लिए सभा के अध्यक्ष द्वारा नामित किया गया है। श्रीमती गीता चेन्नई शहर से सभा की कार्यकारी समिति के लिए चुनी गई हैं।
Smt.Geetha.S has been nominated by the President to function as the Treasurer of DBHP Sabha Madras in the vacancy caused by the passing away of Dr.K.Murli on 19-06-23. Smt.Geetha is elected to the Executive Committee of the Sabha from Chennai City.
