Keeping in line with the changes taking place in social work education the department introduced the Human Rights perspective into its curriculum. From 2003, it has also introduced a credit based evaluation system. The Department offers new courses such as Human Rights, Gender Studies, Communication for Development, Project Management and Counseling. The Department has established the Center for International Social Work and has developed various international partnerships and there is scope for international internships and exchanges for students.
