We are pleased to share that Ravi Kumawat, an alumnus of the IIT Madras BS Degree Program, has received admission offers for Master’s programs from globally reputed universities including the The University of Edinburgh, University of Melbourne, University of Bristol, and Queen Mary University of London.

Ravi has accepted the offer from the University of Melbourne and has commenced his Master’s studies on scholarship.

IIT Madras BS Learner Secures Multiple Data Science Internships Before Degree Completion!

From exploring different domains as a Computer Science student to building real world AI solutions, Arun Krishna’s journey reflects the impact of learning driven by strong fundamentals and practical application.

Even before completing his degree, Arun gained practical industry experience through multiple internships in data science and technology.

Currently working as a Data Science Intern at Blackstraw AI, he has contributed to improving ML model performance through causal analysis and domain-driven feature engineering.

He has also worked on developing Large Language Model (LLM) powered solutions, achieving high levels of accuracy in real world data processing tasks. During his internship at IndusInd Bank, Arun worked on systems handling 1000+ daily transactions, gaining valuable exposure to real world data workflows and infrastructure.

Through the IIT Madras BS Program, Arun was able to build strong practical foundations that directly supported his industry work and helped bridge the

IIT Madras BS Learner Aarya S Rao Secures Admission to M.Sc. Cognitive Science at IIT Gandhinagar!

Currently pursuing the Degree Level of the IIT Madras BS in Data Science and Applications while also completing a BBA in Financial Markets, Aarya has secured admission to the M.Sc. in Cognitive Science program at Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar.

The Cognitive Science program at IIT Gandhinagar brings together psychology, neuroscience, computational modelling, philosophy of mind, AI, and research methods preparing students to work at the intersection of human cognition and intelligent systems.

Reflecting on her journey, Aarya shares:

“ The IIT Madras BS Data Science program played a key role in my preparation. The strong foundation in Statistics, Probability, Machine Learning, and data analysis helped me immensely during both the written test and interview process.
