School Health & Wellness Program | 07.04.26

Marking World Health Day, DSAV inaugurated the School Health and Wellness Program (SHWP).

Dr. Lakshmi Charan, Consultant Pediatrician, Apollo Hospitals, led an insightful session on physical health, sports and digital wellness.

The programme concluded with the Principal, Smt. Latha Balu, introducing the School Health Ambassadors.

Yi Thalir – Path Finder 🌱

Congratulations to Aarav and Shravan of Class X on being nominated as the Yi Thalir Student Chair and Co-Chair of our school.

Our Yi Coordinator, along with student representatives, attended the Thalir Path Finder Orientation held on 5.2.2026 at Clarke School for the Deaf, Mylapore.

An engaging session with participation from 17 schools, offering valuable insights into the year’s action plan and Yi initiatives.

Learning Beyond the Classroom | Bisleri Plant, Mambakkam

Our Class X students explored the Bisleri Plant through an industrial visit organised by Young Indians (Yi) – Thalir on 16.3.2026. From water purification to bottling, packaging and quality control, the visit offered valuable insights into real-world industry practices. The farm visit added a refreshing touch, making the experience both informative and engaging.

Our students secured the 🥇 1st Prize at the Chotta Scientist – V Solve Competition organised by Vedritam Group in association with Jnana Prabodhini, held on 14th February 2026 at DAV Girls School, Gopalapuram, Chennai.

🚸 Yi Masoom Week – Abhayam Walk 🚸

Dayasadan Agarwal Vidyalaya observed the Young Indians (Yi) Masoom Abhayam Walk on 19th November as part of National Child Safety Week (14–20 November).

Mr Yash Churiwala, Co-chair of Yi Masoom, conducted an interactive session on child safety, emphasising personal boundaries, identifying five trusted adults and the importance of Childline.

Following the session, 370 students from Classes IV, V and VI participated in the walk, carrying thoughtful posters reflecting the theme “Let Every Child Live Without Fear.”

🛡️ The initiative created awareness and empowered students to understand, protect and prioritise their personal safety.
