Job Description: Tutor for Tuition Academy

Position Title: Subject Tutor (Mathematics/Science/Physics/Chemistry)
Job Location: Kotturpuram , Porur, Velacherry
Employment Type: Part-Time/Full-Time

Responsibilities:

Subject-Specific Teaching:

Deliver engaging and effective Mathematics, Science, Physics, or Chemistry lessons to students of grades X, XI, and XII, following the prescribed syllabus.

Ensure clarity in concepts and problem-solving techniques to prepare students for board exams and competitive tests (e.g., JEE, NEET).

Student Support:

Identify individual student strengths and weaknesses and provide personalized guidance.

Conduct regular doubt-clearing sessions to enhance understanding and confidence.

Curriculum Planning:

Develop lesson plans, practice exercises, and assessments aligned with curriculum standards.

Update teaching methods and materials based on the latest syllabus and examination patterns.

Performance Monitoring:

Conduct periodic tests and provide feedback to students and parents on progress.

Maintain detailed records of student performance and attendance.

Classroom Management:

Foster a positive and focused learning environment.

Ensure discipline and adherence to the academy's rules and policies.

Professional Development:

Stay updated with advancements in teaching methodologies and subject knowledge.

Qualifications and Skills:

Educational Qualifications:

A bachelor’s/master’s degree in the relevant subject (Mathematics/Science/Physics/Chemistry) or education.

Additional certifications in teaching or pedagogy are preferred.

Scholars from Anna University and Madras University are Preferred on Top.

Experience:

Prior teaching experience at the high school level is highly desirable.

Familiarity with board syllabus (CBSE/State Board/ICSE) and competitive exam requirements.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in explaining complex concepts in a simple, relatable manner.
