NCA 2026 served as a meaningful platform for knowledge exchange, innovation, and interdisciplinary collaboration in the field of autism rehabilitation.

A Grand Cultural Finale | KALAI VAIBHAV ’26 |
SRM College of Occupational Therapy concluded Kalai Vaibhav 2026, the cultural segment of the National Conference on Autism, with an exciting showcase of creativity, talent, and collaboration. The final day featured major, minor, and online events, blending artistic performance with digital innovation.
JKK Munirajah Medical Research Foundation College and Ramachandra College secured top honours in the major events, while online competitions in photography and short films highlighted contributions from Dr Sreedevi Sriram, Dr Vivek Vajaratkar, Dr Shriano, and Dr Pooja Desai.
During the Valedictory Ceremony, awards were presented to 162 participants. SRM Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research emerged as the overall cultural champion, with Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences as runner-up.
SRM Institute of Science and Technology continues to encourage inclusive learning through creativity, innovation, and student engagement.

A Celebration of Talent and Expression | KALAI VAIBHAV ’26 |
SRM College of Occupational Therapy brought together creativity, talent, and cultural spirit through Kalai Vaibhav 2026, organised as part of the National Conference on Autism. The intercollegiate cultural fest witnessed enthusiastic participation from 178 students representing leading medical and research institutions, with events including solo and group dance performances, singing, fashion show, and Rangoli competitions.
The competitions were judged by Dr Glannie A. R., Dr R. Suryaprakash, Dr Viswanathan, Dr Alex Joseph, Dr K. A. Arul Senghor, Ms Nizu Shahain J, Dr Roshni Mary Peter, and Dr Aamina Hussain. Mementoes and certificates were presented to the judges by the NCA Organising Secretary, Dr U. Ganapathy Sankar, during the felicitation ceremony.
Day 2 of Kalai Vaibhav 2026 created a vibrant platform for intercollegiate interaction, artistic expression, and student engagement beyond academics.

Culture, Creativity and Care | KALAI VAIBHAV ’26 |
The SRM College of Occupational Therapy inaugurated the National Conference on Autism 2026 with KALAI VAIBHAV, a cultural segment held on 28 April 2026.
Seventy participants from medical institutions took part in Solo Singing, Mehendi, Face Painting and Fireless Cooking, reflecting creativity and collaboration in line with the conference theme of human-centred practice.
The event was judged by Mrs Sivaranjini G, Dr P Manoraj, Dr A John Joseph, Ms Nizu Shahain J and Ms Sona Rose Maijo. NCA 2026 Convenor Mr D Anbarasu presented mementoes and certificates in recognition of their contribution.
The event reflected SRMIST’s continued focus on professional excellence and all-around student development.

The session, led by Dr. U. Ganapathy Sankar, Dean, highlighted the growing demand for healthcare professionals, essential eligibility criteria, licensing processes, and the importance of language proficiency and cultural adaptability.
