Expertise Talk 1: Landscape biographies as a tool for interdisciplinary research and sustainable landscape management. by Prof. Dr.Theo Spek , Head of the Department of Landscape Studies , Groningen University, Netherlands.
Guest Speaker Profile
Prof. Dr.Theo Spek has more than thirty years of experience in Dutch and European landscape research. His research has a strongly interdisciplinary character combining cultural, ecological, and earth scientific concepts and methodologies. He has also specialised in trans disciplinary approaches in which landscape knowledge is applied in modern-day nature and landscape management, heritage management, rural planning, and water policies.
At the University of Groningen , Dr. Theo Spek is the director of an interdisciplinary master course on Landscape History, which has existed since 2008 and has delivered a large number of landscape specialists since. Besides his university work, he holds a number of board memberships and advisory positions in the fields of landscape research, landscape policy, and landscape management.

*S.D Vaidya Memorial Lecture Series 2021*
We will be commencing with the talks in this week! Starting from tomorrow, we will be forecasting interviews and talks with our eminent speakers, *everyday at 1700hrs IST* These videos will be uploaded on our YouTube channel and links for same will be shared on our social media pages.
The week long sessions are also a part of the World landscape month celebration across the country!
And on *28th March at 1600hrs* an online panel discussion will be conducted & forecasted live on our You Tube channel.
