HERE AND NOW – The Language Institute is looking for a talented video editor to assemble recorded footage into a finished project that matches HERE AND NOW Team’s vision and is suitable for broadcasting.
Ultimately, as a film and video editor, you should be able to bring sight and sound together in order to tell a cohesive story.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Manipulate and edit film pieces in a way that is invisible to the audience
Take a brief to grasp HERE AND NOW team’s needs and specifications
Review shooting script and raw material to create a shot decision list based on scenes’ value and contribution to continuity
Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the film
Input music, dialogues, graphics and effects
Create rough and final cuts
Ensure logical sequencing and smooth running
Consult with the feedback team & production team to the post-production process
Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and the industry’s best practices to maximize efficiency.
Qualifications and Skills:
Proven work knowledge or experience as a video editor
Solid knowledge or experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g. Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, After Effects and Illustrator)
Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio
Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation and continuity
Familiarity with special effects, 3D and compositing
Creative mind and storytelling skills
Preferred BS degree in film studies, cinematography or related field
Benefits:
As a Film/video editor-intern of HERE AND NOW, you can earn between 5000 and 15000 per month, while those with more experience can earn up to 20000.
Senior editors working on high-profile projects can earn up to 30000 per month.
You can work on a freelance basis. Consequently, wages are completely dependent on one’s ability.
As a film/video editor, your working hours will be fairly flexible.
You might simply be required to work from nine-to-six. However, at other times, you may work in the evenings or at the weekend, especially when project deadlines are looming.

Job Skills Required:
