This Independence Day, over 21,000 young people across 489 Gram Panchayats in Odisha stepped up and took their seats at local Gram Sabha meetings.

And they didn't just show up—they took the mic. 🎤💥

Nearly 16,000 of those participants were young girls, proving that youth leadership isn't just symbolic. They spoke up on the issues impacting their everyday lives and pushed for real solutions: Safer Spaces: Streetlights, safe roads, playgrounds, and clean water.
Better Infrastructure: Upgraded school and Anganwadi facilities.
Social Change: Ending child marriage, stopping child labor, and driving gender equality.
Democracy doesn’t magically start at 18. It begins the moment we trust young people to speak, participate, and lead.

Aide et Action's MiRC team was honoured to host the UNICEF Odisha leadership and programme monitoring team during their visit to our project districts of Nuapada and Kalahandi.

From insightful discussions with district officials to meaningful interactions with community stakeholders, the visit highlighted the power of collaboration in building stronger child protection systems and creating safer futures for every child.

A proud moment was hearing from our ADVIKA adolescent leaders, who shared how they are driving change in their communities by addressing child marriage, child labour, school dropouts, cyber safety, and unsafe spaces.

The visit also showcased innovative initiatives such as Child Vulnerability Mapping (CVMaP), migration tracking, and marriage monitoring systems that are strengthening child protection and supporting the implementation of Mission Vatsalya.

We are grateful for UNICEF's appreciation of our technical expertise, collaborative approach, and scalable models, and for their encouragement to replicate these initiatives in more regions to reach even more children.

Together, we continue to create safer, stronger communities for every child. 🌱

One of the most inspiring moments came from the students themselves, as Grade 9 girls challenged menstrual health stigma through a powerful skit—reminding us that when girls are empowered, they become changemakers in their communities.

Celebrating a decade of transforming lives through the ENLIGHT Project!

As part of the 10-year anniversary commemorations of the ENLIGHT Project being held across project cities, following the inspiring celebrations in Hyderabad and Chennai, Aide et Action (India) marked this significant milestone in Salem, Tamil Nadu.

The celebration was made truly special by the voices of the beneficiaries, who shared their personal journeys of resilience and how the Enlight Project has empowered them to overcome challenges, pursue higher education, and build meaningful careers.

We were honoured to be joined by nine leaders from Capgemini, whose continued partnership has been instrumental in creating opportunities for first-generation learners and youth.

As we continue this journey of commemorations across cities, we celebrate not only a decade of achievements but also the collective commitment of communities, partners, and beneficiaries who have made this impact possible.

Together, we remain committed to empowering every learner with the opportunity to build a brighter future.

Over the last decade, ENLIGHT has reached 2,400 girls across 13 locations in India, supporting those facing some of the deepest forms of social exclusion. Every community has a different story, but they all carry the same message:

When we invest in girls, we transform generations.

At ENLIGHT's recent 10-year celebration in Hyderabad, the most powerful moments came from the parents.

A mother shared how her daughter with a disability, once unable to attend school, is now pursuing her education with confidence. Another proudly spoke about her daughter, who once struggled to attend online classes because there wasn't a smartphone at home, and has now cleared JEE-Mains, completed her B.Tech from NIT, and is ready to begin her career.

These stories remind us that the true impact of education isn't measured only in numbers—it's measured in confidence, dignity, opportunity, and hope.

The celebration also marked the release of the ENLIGHT Impact Documentary, Coffee Table Book, and Project Impact Assessment Report, capturing a decade of transformation.

Our heartfelt thanks to Capgemini, our partners, government departments, schools, community volunteers, parents, and everyone who has helped create opportunities for girls to learn, thrive, and dream.

Because lasting change often begins with something simple—a school admission, a scholarship, a helping hand, or someone who believes in a girl.

From joyful library activities and smart classes to meaningful conversations at the Pragati Camp, the visit reflected how education is empowering children and women with confidence, creativity, and hope for a brighter future. 📚✨

The children’s handmade welcome cards and enthusiastic participation beautifully showcased their growth, imagination, and love for learning. 💌🌟

🌍✨ Voices Beyond Borders ✨🌍

On 26th May 2026, we had an inspiring cross-cultural virtual interaction with the France team on the theme Women’s Rights 💜

23 students and 6 education facilitators came together to discuss the challenges women face in Chennai and France — and the strength, courage, and resilience they show every day in overcoming them.

What made the session truly special was seeing children speak so confidently, share their thoughts openly, and engage in meaningful conversations about equality, empowerment, and inclusion. 🌸

When young voices come together across cultures, learning becomes powerful, perspectives expand, and change begins. 🌏💬

Every child deserves the right to learn, grow, and dream — no matter where life takes them. ❤️

Since 2008, Aide et Action has been supporting inter-state migrant families working at construction and brick kiln sites in Tamil Nadu. From helping children continue their education despite language barriers to connecting women and young children with nutrition, healthcare, and government welfare services — this journey has been about restoring dignity and opportunity.

Today, across 13 brick kiln worksites in Tiruvallur district, this effort has become sustainable through the collective support of brick kiln owners, government departments, and local communities.

✨ Educational facilitators are now hired directly by brick kiln owners
✨ Migrant children are enrolled in schools and Anganwadis
✨ Families are accessing healthcare, nutrition, immunization, and social protection services
✨ INR 7.72 lakhs worth of government-supported services reached migrant families in 2025–26

Most importantly, 211 migrant children successfully completed their academic year examinations and received Academic Completion Certificates — a celebration of their resilience, determination, and hope for a brighter future. 🌟

Together, we can ensure that migration never becomes a barrier to education and childhood.

At the iLEAD Graduation Ceremony (April 2, 2026), students from Sri Kanyaka Parameswari College of Arts & Science for Women didn’t just receive certificates in Web Designing & AI Tools… they stepped confidently into the world of work 🚀
