🏛️ Deeksharambh 2026 – Day 7 Highlights 🏛️

The final day of Deeksharambh 2026 began with an enriching educational visit to Dhakshina Chitra, one of South India's renowned living heritage museums. The visit offered students an immersive experience of the region's rich cultural heritage, traditional architecture, folk arts, crafts, and way of life.
Exploring DakshinaChitra together strengthened cohort bonding, encouraged students to appreciate the significance of preserving cultural heritage, and provided meaningful opportunities to connect with the local history and traditions.
Students then submitted their Deeksharambh Passports, marking the successful completion of their week-long induction journey and their active participation in every session and activity.
The programme concluded with a heartfelt Valedictory Ceremony, celebrating a week filled with learning, self-discovery, friendships, and unforgettable experiences. As our freshers embark on their academic journey at SAS, we wish them continued growth, success, and a future filled with possibilities.

🌱 Deeksharambh 2026 – Day 6 Highlights 🌱

Day 6 of the Student Induction Programme focused on environmental consciousness, student engagement, and innovation. The day commenced with an insightful session on Environmental Awareness and Social Commitment, inspiring students to become responsible citizens and active contributors to society.

Students were then introduced to the various Clubs and Units of the institution, followed by the Student Council Introduction, highlighting the diverse opportunities available beyond academics.

The vibrant Clubs Expo gave freshers the opportunity to interact with club representatives, explore their interests, participate in on-the-spot registrations, and collect passport stamps through engaging club interactions.

The afternoon session featured an inspiring programme on Research and Innovation, encouraging students to cultivate curiosity, creativity, and a research-oriented mindset. The day concluded with interactive sports activities conducted by the Department of Sports, fostering teamwork, enthusiasm, and active participation among the freshers.

Day 5 of the Student Induction Programme commenced with an engaging session on "From Reading to Understanding: Building Critical Academic Skills" by Dr David Wesley, Assistant Professor of English, MCC. The session inspired students to develop critical reading and academic thinking skills essential for their higher education journey.
The programme continued with an Examination Cell Orientation, followed by informative sessions on Student Compliance Formalities and Scholarships, providing students with essential guidance on academic procedures and the support systems available to them.
Students were also introduced to the Rotaract Club, encouraging them to participate in leadership, service, and community engagement activities.
The day concluded with the introduction of the Heads of Departments and Faculty Members, giving freshers an opportunity to interact with their mentors and begin building meaningful academic relationships.

The day continued with Universal Human Values – Session I, followed by "Me, My Goals, and My Choices: Making Sense of Expectations and Real Needs," encouraging students to reflect on their aspirations and make meaningful life choices. Universal Human Values – Session II focused on "The Nine Values in Relationships: Building Trust, Respect, and Lasting Harmony," emphasizing the importance of healthy and value-based relationships.
The afternoon session celebrated the remarkable contributions of the Department of Sports in shaping students both on and off the field. The programme concluded by honouring our outstanding sports scholarship students, who were awarded 100% scholarships in recognition of their excellence and achievements in sports.

The Student Induction Programme – Deeksharambh 2026 was inaugurated with great enthusiasm as we warmly welcomed our freshers into the SAS family.
The occasion was made even more special by honouring our 100% Merit Scholarship and Sports Scholarship students for their outstanding achievements.
The programme also featured an interactive discussion between our Director and the parents, fostering a strong partnership for the students' academic journey.
We were privileged to have the Heads and dignitaries from the various institutions of VMCC grace the occasion with their esteemed presence, making the inaugural ceremony truly memorable.
